The Coperni Spring/Summer 2023 collection is presented in the Salle des Textiles of the National Museum of Arts and Crafts in Paris. The hall, built in 1850, was dedicated to the exhibition of yarns and weaving machines. A tribute to sculptural physicality and a reflection on the influence of the machine on man, as Alexander McQueen had already done, the show closes with an almost nude Bella Hadid covered with layers of sprayed cellulose that form a dress sculpture.

THE FINAL OF THE SHOW WITH BELLA HADID

The final performance of the Coperni show sees the model Bella Hadid at the center of the catwalk, while she is sprayed with spray fabric that slowly forms a real cellulose dress. The idea of the Spray-on fabric was born in 2003 from an intuition of the Spanish researcher Manuel Torres, of the Imperial College of London. The product is called Fabrican and is a liquid compound that solidifies when it comes into contact with the skin and adheres to the shapes.
