The watchmaker introduces two limited-edition Clifton models with guilloché ice-blue dials, including a three-hand date and a perpetual calendar powered by the five-day Baumatic movement.

Two new limited editions join Baume &amp; Mercier’s Clifton collection: a 39 mm automatic date and a 40 mm automatic perpetual calendar. Both feature ice-blue dials decorated with guilloché engraving in a fine geometric pattern.
Since 1830, Baume &amp; Mercier has created watches designed to accompany memorable moments. Carrying on that spirit, the Clifton is a collection inspired by 1950s watches, characterized by harmonious proportions and clear, refined legibility.
For its 2025 update, the case was redesigned with more compact and balanced proportions. Details such as the domed sapphire crystal, Arabic numerals placed at key points on the dial, and a crown that follows the lines of the case preserve a vintage character while giving the watch a look that sits naturally within a contemporary wardrobe.
The ice blue here is understated, yet shifts as light catches the guilloché engraving. The combination of cool transparency and precise patterning gives the Clifton’s classical presence a fresh impression.

Both models share Baumatic, Baume &amp; Mercier’s signature automatic movement.
It offers about five days, or 120 hours, of power reserve, so the watch keeps running even after being left off the wrist for several days. Alongside its high level of precision, the watch also resists the magnetic fields encountered in everyday life, adding practicality for daily wear alongside its refined appearance.
Through the transparent caseback, you can view the skeletonized rotor and the movement in action. The rotor is decorated with Côtes de Genève and engraved with the Baume &amp; Mercier name, while the bridges and mainplate receive different finishes. Even the parts normally hidden against the wrist reflect the watchmaker's precision and aesthetic attention.

The Clifton Baumatic 39 MM neatly brings together the functions needed for everyday life: hours, minutes, seconds, and date. A black crosshair running through the center of the ice-blue dial and ultramarine minute markers add a graphic accent to the calm color palette. The date display at 6 o’clock matches the dial color, preserving the overall harmony.
The integrated three-link stainless steel bracelet combines polished and satin finishes to create depth with restrained shine. Its manageable 39 mm size and simple display make it easy to wear in both formal and casual settings.

The Clifton Baumatic Perpetual Calendar 40 MM, by contrast, features a complication that displays the day, date, month, leap year, and moon phase. It combines the Baumatic base movement with a perpetual calendar module made by Dubois Dépraz.
The ice-blue dial pairs ultramarine counters and minute markers, while the black moon-phase disc features a rhodium-plated, polished moon. Despite displaying a lot of information, the color and layout maintain legibility and balance. The strap is made from blue alligator leather with a pronounced bamboo-scale pattern, finished with matching stitching.
Both models are water-resistant to 50 meters, and the bracelet and strap can be changed without special tools. One pursues a simplicity that fits naturally into everyday life, while the other focuses on the pleasure of observing a complex mechanism. Beginning with the same ice-blue color, the two watches reveal different sides of the Clifton.
