The shirt upgrade you didn&rsquo;t know you needed just got easier to score. Ascot Chang&rsquo;s &ldquo;Ascot Collar&rdquo; has graduated from bespoke to ready-to-wear. Best of all? You can now pick one up right off the rack at Rustan&rsquo;s.
First developed in 2022, the Ascot Collar was born from client requests for a collar that looked sharp even without a tie. The collar&rsquo;s construction is clever: a one-piece collar band flows seamlessly into the shirt&rsquo;s placket, paired with a separate collar leaf. Together, they hold the shirt front firmly in place, letting it stand tall and crisp, no jacket or tie required.

It&rsquo;s a major upgrade over the classic one-piece collar, which often had a dramatic roll or splayed too far open. Too casual for the office. By re-engineering the design, Ascot Chang created a hybrid that keeps the placket supported, and the collar points discreet. So, the whole shirt looks perfectly put-together.
