The Filipina supermodel was among the heralded figures of the era&rsquo;s fashion scene, having once graced the runways and campaigns of leading fashion houses like Christian Lacroix, Versace, Chanel, and Yves Saint Laurent. Born in Manila and at one point, enrolled in a pre-med degree at the University of the Philippines, Bayle first encountered modeling upon joining the Miss World beauty pageant. By then, designers began to take notice after her participation at the Hong Kong Trade Fashion Show. Despite her retirement from the industry nearly 20 years ago, Bayle&rsquo;s contribution to the earlier days of contemporary fashion persists.
