ANONYMITY OF THE LINING
Original concept: take the lining and make it a visible element of the design. Instead of hiding the interior, it becomes a distinct feature.
SS21 Co-Ed interpretation: observing the value of the tango, the iconic heroic cut is expressed in knightly tailored silhouettes based on the idea of anonymity of the lining. White and transparent coats, jackets, and pea coats with a heroic trench cut open revealing all their layers.

CLEAR TABI SHOES
Original product: Inspired by traditional Japanese split-toe socks, Tabi boots are one of Maison Margiela's most recognizable pieces. Transformation and reinterpretation have seen the Tabi shoe reinvented in a spectrum of materials and concepts over the seasons since it was unveiled to the public during the brand's first runway show.
SS21 Co-Ed interpretation: the Tabi is interpreted in light material as a d&eacute;collet&eacute; and lace-up derby. A nod to dance, the shoes reveal chiffon laces, which appear throughout the collection.

WET LOOK Original concept: First introduced in the Artisanal AW20 collection, the wet look effect is a nod to the wet drapery of neoclassical marble sculpture. SS21 Co-Ed interpretation: Muslin and tulle dresses created with a circular cut evoke the effect of the wet look, a technique reminiscent of wet drapery, further evolved into tailoring. The interpretation of this illusory motif and the idea of wetness is obtained through the application of liquid sylicon on trench coats, wool pinstripes and flannel jackets.

NINA MARY JANES AND HYPERION SHOES
Original product: traditional tango shoes 
SS21 Co-Ed Interpretation: the traditional tango shoes are the starting point for the Nina Mary Jane with kitten heel, available in leather, suede and brocade, as well as in the Recicla editions in brocatelle and soprarizzo. Likewise, the Hyperion, a genderless flat-toe shoe, comes in calfskin, velvet, and a red Recicla edition in handmade soprarizzo velvet. The Hyperion Ankle Strap is a flat-pointed shoe created in brocade.

RECYCLE GLAM SLAM
Original product: The Glam Slam, Maison Margiela's cult bag, is a lightweight bag filled with buttons that evoke universal associations of comfort. His pillow curves and the cloud shape are inspired by the idea of travelers in transit and reflect the concept of unconscious glamor. The bag has a frame and zip and a shoulder strap with an oval buckle in transparent resin.
 SS21 Co-Ed interpretation: Maison Margiela's iconic bag, the Glam Slam, features different Recicla fabrics, such as floral brocade, taffetas, or chiffon.
