From the Salk Institute in La Jolla to the Fondation Maeght in Saint-Paul de Vence, France, to the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/louis-vuitton-pre-fall-2023-seoul-runway-looks-collection" target="_blank" rel="noopener">double-decked Jamsugyo bridge in Seoul</a>, there is no such thing as a location being too extravagant in the mind of Ghesqui&egrave;re &mdash; a sentiment that still holds true as seen by Louis Vuitton's Cruise 2024 show. The presentation took place on Isola Bella, a small yet opulently charming island in Italy owned by the Borromeo family.

As the island sits atop Lake Maggiore, clear aquatic themes were pulled as inspiration in the collection. Ruffled detailing reminiscent of fins embellished opening looks while other models walked in garments crafted of fabric eerily similar to that of scuba gear &mdash; though it was given a high-fashion revamp. As expected, the attention was truly on the detailing: swirled beading atop the lace button-ups; elaborate headpieces fitting for a royal <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/mermaidcore-trend-fashion-beauty" target="_blank" rel="noopener">mermaid</a>; and floral sequined print dresses that at a further overview come across as stained glass.&nbsp;

Taking place in such a monumental location, the collection was equally as opulent &mdash; not shy of maximal accessories and creative silhouettes. The was underwater glamour at its essence, with touches of fairy magic&mdash;all imbued with a cruise wear perspective.
