L’Officiel Philippines speaks to the BINI member about her solo retail venture and why it’s a gateway for fans and onlookers alike to know more about her.

Mikha Lim has lived a whirlwind life as of late. Traveling with powerhouse pop group BINI all over the world is not for the weak. But somehow, she found the time to launch her own brand, no less.
MILI, which stands for Move. Intent. Lifestyle. Inspire., is a passion project she couldn’t simply keep to herself. Founded by Lim, the Filipino lifestyle label is built around the belief that movement creates progress, looking beyond exercise to the routines, choices, and small acts of showing up that make up everyday life.

“I love wearing activewear. And I love Pilates, sports, doing anything active. So I felt like that was the closest thing to what I love to do,” she tells L’Officiel Philippines. “And it’s like a bonus for me. It’s like I’m making clothes that I want to wear when I work out. And I think it’s also something I want to influence people to do, to be more active.”
Mikha hasn’t been shy about being outspoken on the topics that have been buzzing in her brain. And true enough, the pop star life is anything but sedentary. BINI has recently been known for their stamina, with appearances at Coachella and Summer Sonic introducing the group’s high-energy performances to even more audiences around the world.
But MILI isn’t Mikha’s way of getting away from the group. Rather, she’d like to think that the venture strengthens their popularity and bond even more.

"Being in a group, you need to have your own things in life to be able to keep moving forward."

“I think, obviously, I’m very grateful to be in BINI. I think it has given me so many opportunities and helped me reach so many people in a very positive way,” she says. “I think it’s also, like, to have individuality.”
“And I think as we grow older, we obviously want our own identity. And not that we don’t want to be in a group or anything. It’s just really more like you have your own thing. And to me, that’s very important: being in a group. And also, after being in a group, you need to have your own things in life to be able to keep moving forward.”
It’s Mikha’s interest in sports that really brought her to create a label she knew she could wear and recommend to anyone.
“I think it started when I used to be a volleyball player. I think that was one of the first times I started working out, playing sports. I played with my brother, my team,” she recalls. “I think that was when I was in Grade 4. And I just got back into it again during training. After cheer dance, and then training for BINI, and so on and so forth.”

The result is MILI’s First Form, its debut collection and the first expression of the brand’s philosophy. The collection explores movement through clean lines, sculpted silhouettes, soft structure, and considered layering, moving between fitted and relaxed forms designed for both active and everyday settings.
The aesthetic is simple but intentional. Cool enough, but not so trendy that it’ll seem dated in two years’ time. Mikha made sure that the designs were inclusive, too, and her lookbook actually features different body types and heights. You don’t need to be model-thin to wear MILI, and that’s the whole point.
A grounded palette of oat, mocha, olive, and white brings First Form together, with performance sets sitting alongside flowing silhouettes, structured separates, lightweight layers, and everyday essentials. The idea is less about creating clothes that only exist in the gym and more about pieces that can move naturally between different parts of the day.

For Mikha, however, MILI has always been about more than the clothes.
“It’s very intentional, the letters and what they mean. And as you said, it’s community-based because I really wanted it to be that way,” she explains. “Since brands start launching, it’s not just all about the products and the marketing. I feel like to make it long-term, you have to build a community and to have meaning in what you’re doing. Like, what’s the purpose of this, you know?”
That idea of community is also built into the brand’s plans beyond apparel. According to MILI, the label is working toward a broader world of products, experiences, and community through The MILI Club. First Form, then, is just that: a first form, a starting point for what the brand hopes to become.

But be wary. Stocks sold out fast when First Form dropped, and the collection is getting just one restock on September 21 before the pieces are gone for good. The limited-edition mindset adds another layer to MILI’s debut, while giving fans and early supporters another reason to keep watch for what comes next. And they won’t have to wait too long. MILI’s next collection is set to drop in November, giving the brand’s growing community another first look at where Mikha takes the label next.
And Mikha is clearly paying attention to how people are responding.
“I think it’s very nice to see people appreciate it. And then whenever they say, like, ‘Oh, this is so Mikha-coded’ or things like that, I feel like, ‘Oh, thank you,’” she says.&nbsp;“We worked hard on this. Every time I get compliments about the feed, the postings, I really feel so happy because I’m like, ‘Okay, shucks. I’m doing it right.’”
She laughs before adding, “And I hope it doesn’t get messed up. But I do understand that in businesses, it’s okay to fail. But obviously, I don’t want to fail.”
With the first collection already sold out, there’s not much sign of failure here.
