Beyond The Vines has become a quiet staple for Manila&rsquo;s cool crowd. Its minimalist aesthetic, thoughtful design, and cult-favorite Dumpling Bag have made it a go-to for those who prefer understated creativity over flashy logos. Now, the Singapore-based brand is celebrating a milestone moment &mdash; its 10th anniversary &mdash; with a limited-edition &ldquo;Confetti&rdquo; Dumpling Bag, and the celebration kicked off right here in Manila.
The choice of city is meaningful. Manila was Beyond The Vines&rsquo; first venture outside Singapore, and its Shangri-La Plaza store, which reopened this October after a sleek refresh, remains one of the brand&rsquo;s most beloved spaces. The launch marks a full-circle moment for founders Rebecca Ting and Daniel Chew, who chose the Philippines as the first market to unveil their anniversary bag.

If there&rsquo;s one thing Beyond The Vines does best, it&rsquo;s turning functionality into something fun. The new Confetti Dumpling Bag takes the brand&rsquo;s hero piece and gives it a celebratory twist.
&ldquo;We try to do one every year with our hero bag, which is a dumpling,&rdquo; says Rebecca Ting, co-founder of Beyond The Vines. &ldquo;This year, because it&rsquo;s our 10th anniversary, we basically made it like a party. You can carry the party everywhere you go. That&rsquo;s why it looks like a party in a bag.&rdquo;
Each bag features a soft mesh layer over durable nylon, revealing colorful confetti crafted from archival Beyond The Vines posters &mdash; no two are exactly alike. Available in Ivory, Periwinkle, and Black, the XS-sized bag retails for ₱5,490 and will launch in the Philippines first, before heading to Japan and finally back home to Singapore.

Founded in 2015, Beyond The Vines has built its identity around one idea: good design should be accessible to all. &ldquo;When we set up to do the brand, we wanted to change the lives of people through our products,&rdquo; says Daniel Chew. &ldquo;We never started this wanting to really be famous, but what the brand has brought us is the drive to keep innovating &mdash; to change the lives of our community.&rdquo;
The Dumpling Bag may have started as a cult favorite, but it&rsquo;s now a design icon across Asia &mdash; a symbol of the brand&rsquo;s playful yet purposeful ethos.

The refreshed Beyond The Vines Shangri-La Plaza store mirrors the brand&rsquo;s clean, functional aesthetic, with industrial accents, modular shelving, and a refined color palette of Engineer Blue and bright orange.
