The online exhibition features local artists from different creative backgrounds and subcultures.

The work of Filipino grassroots and emerging artists gets a spotlight in Grounded&rsquo;s two-part online exhibit. Named States of Cadence, the first half of the show opened on September 23, 2021 and runs until November 15, 2021.&nbsp;
The online exhibit features 19 artists from the Grounded Artist Network (GAN), carefully chosen based on the values of Grounded &ndash; a focus on holistic lifestyle, community, and ocean environmental awareness. In creating their exhibition work, they were asked to create art revolving around their perception of the collective energy of today&rsquo;s world.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Coming from a different set of backgrounds and cultures, the artists varied in interpretation. You&rsquo;ll notice this while looking through the exhibit&ndash;their creations are unique and distinct.

From medium and material to subject and message, the selection of art is diverse. You&rsquo;ll find black and white surfing photos by urban artist Archie Geotina, colorful illustrations by Bacolod-based Gringo Benedicto, and psychedelic watercolor art by painter-slash-art teacher Nikki Ocean.&nbsp;

All of these works are made available to purchase online. And true to Grounded&rsquo;s advocacy, a portion of the sales are dedicated to Oceanus Conservation, a Philippine non-profit organization that protects and restores blue carbon habitats and aquatic wildlife.&nbsp;

After the current exhibition ends, Grounded plans to launch a second exhibition, which will serve as the second part of the States of Cadence series. It will take place in December 2021, a month after the closing in November.
