<p>A new kind of alpine attraction will unveil itself in Switzerland&rsquo;s Graub&uuml;nden canton this summer. Landwasser World is nestled between the spa village of Alvaneu and the platform at Filisur, a part of the country known for scenic train rides, magnificent sulphur springs, trout fishing expeditions and quaint villages etched with sgraffito.</p>

<p><a href="https://shop.landwasserwelt.ch/en/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Landwasser World</a> is a layered offering built around one of the country&rsquo;s most iconic engineering feats, the 142-metre Landwasser Viaduct. Long representative of the Rhaetian Railway and a central highlight of the UNESCO-listed Albula Line, the viaduct now serves as a keystone in a broader, more ambitious plan.</p>

<p>Yet, with the new attraction, this heritage site will not be encased in amber, that is, just for show. The new experience, instead, has been carefully structured around five Adventure Worlds &mdash; Railway, Agriculture, Forest, Water, and Culture &mdash; each with its own landscape and rhythm and all connected through a transport web of leisurely chairlifts, gorgeous hiking trails and the aforementioned train lines. The experience is modular&mdash;visitors can deep-dive into one theme or drift between them at their own pace.</p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">The Railway World is its anchor. From May to October 2025, <a href="https://shop.landwasserwelt.ch/en/pages/historical-trips" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a historic 1920s train</a> will run daily between Davos and Filisur, threading through Z&uuml;gen Gorge and the Wiesen Viaduct before reaching the signature arc of Landwasser. Upon arrival in Filisur, visitors can continue their journey with two connecting experiences: the new <a href="https://shop.landwasserwelt.ch/en/pages/viaduct-shuttle" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Viaduct Shuttle</a> to Alvaneu, or the <a href="https://shop.landwasserwelt.ch/en/pages/landwasser-express" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Landwasser Express</a> (affectionately known as the </span><span class="s2">Choo Choo Traie</span><span class="s1">), which travels from Filisur to the base of the viaduct and back. A new viaduct shuttle will ease access, dropping passengers a short walk from the Hennings viewing platform. This is a striking but uncrowded vantage point from which to take in the six-pillar structure.</span></p>

<p>Elsewhere, Agriculture World invites visitors into the rhythms of rural life. <a href="https://shop.landwasserwelt.ch/en/pages/farsox-ranch" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Farsox Ranch</a> raises trout on-site and offers overnight stays in tepees or even open-air cornfields. Nearby, the <a href="https://shop.landwasserwelt.ch/en/pages/las-sorts-organic-farm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Las Sorts</a> organic farm cultivates as many as 50 varieties of mountain potatoes &mdash; sold alongside homemade preserves and baked goods.</p>

<p>In Forest World, the <a href="https://shop.landwasserwelt.ch/en/pages/sesselbahn-darlux" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Darlux</a> chairlift runs across a section of the Albula railway, eventually reaching the timber-clad La Diala mountain restaurant. Water World reveals itself more subtly where the <a href="https://shop.landwasserwelt.ch/en/pages/wasserweg-ansaina" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ansaina</a> trail traces the Landwasser and Albula rivers through ten interactive stations including iron-rich springs and whispering listening posts.</p>

<p>Culture World explores the FiliTour walking trail in Filisur that winds past Engadin houses, medieval chapels, and oral histories. The Berg&uuml;n village museum offers a scale model of the stretch between Berg&uuml;n and Preda, a feat of railway engineering appreciated equally by trainspotters, design students, and alpine historians.</p>
<p>Landwasser World is a living showcase of stories woven into these amazing alpine landscapes&mdash;part open-air museum, part transit system, part pastoral immersion. Starting this year,&nbsp;it is one experience not to be missed!</p>
