Supermodel Winnie Harlow is known for her unique and striking looks &mdash; she has vitiligo, a depigmentation of skin manifesting as white patches that change over time in shape and position, but she doesn&rsquo;t let it define her. In her TED talk, How I Define Beauty, she ends her speech with the words, &ldquo;Know for yourself what beauty is rather than looking to a magazine or to even me for what beauty is. Know it in your heart, and make your own mold.&rdquo; L&rsquo;Officiel chats with the model about knowing beauty for yourself, her upcoming skincare line next year, and just some lessons we can all learn.

<h5>Beauty is for everybody</h5>
&ldquo;I don't think anyone has the right to tell anyone what they should think,&rdquo; Winnie shares. &ldquo;Like, if I think curly hair is beautiful on me, then I'm going to wear curly hair. If you don't think so then that's cool then don&rsquo;t look. I think that people worry too much about what other people think but what other people think isn't what's going to make you happy in your life, and it's your life to live.&rdquo;

<h5>Keep eye drops handy&nbsp;</h5>
&ldquo;One really good beauty tip that a lot of makeup artists are shocked that I do is when I put eye drops on my skin to take the redness out. I don't think a lot of people know about that. Instead of using the eye drops just for the eye, I put it on before I do my makeup.&rdquo;

<h5>Hydration isn&rsquo;t overrated</h5>
Winnie shares in an interview that drinking up that H20 really makes a difference not just with the skin but also mentally&mdash;so keep that water bottle in hand.

<h5>Maintain your relationships&nbsp;</h5>
&ldquo;My greatest lesson is something that I already knew: the people who are closest to you are the most important and communication with them is so vital to life.&rdquo;
