Three influential women &mdash; Tricia Gosingtian, Patricia Prieto, and Winnie Wong &mdash; spill on what they love most about the label and the importance of supporting Asian designers.

Tricia Gosingtian, the founder and creative director of fashion label Hinhin, has always considered Singapore a top fashion destination. &ldquo;When I think of Singapore, it&rsquo;s always [about] shopping! In fact, more than 10 years ago, I actually thought about studying fashion design in Singapore. They were already offering relevant courses during that time, with a global and e-commerce mindset ahead of the trend.&rdquo;

&ldquo;I&rsquo;m all about supporting Asian designers! It's always amazing to see what talent comes out of this continent,&rdquo; enthuses content creator and spin instructor Patricia Prieto. &ldquo;Especially now, at a time when fashion is still facing a struggle in terms of diversity and inclusivity, it&rsquo;s all the more important that Asian talents are seen. That's why I'm really flattered and ecstatic that I get to work with GINLEE Studio. I love how unique their pieces are.&rdquo;

A fine example of thoughtful Singaporean craftsmanship, clothing brand GINLEE Studio was founded in 2011 by Gin Lee and Tamir Niv, a duo of designers from different disciplines: fashion and industrial design. In a world where garments are churned out rapidly, the careful processes that go into creating their garments are deemed a luxury. GINLEE takes pride in creating beautiful, thoughtfully-designed pieces that aim to be mainstays in any wardrobe. Equipped with their individual design backgrounds, the designers&rsquo; joint passion extends towards sculpted yet soft elements that not only flatter the female form, but make for wearable art.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;
&ldquo;Our brand has always been about the exploration of textiles, of 2D to 3D,&rdquo; Lee says of GINLEE&rsquo;s signature pleated fabrics, the perfect representation of their two disciplines&rsquo; marriage. &ldquo;We work heavily with the hand-mold pleating technique, which is done completely by hand, itself a craft that is laborious and prone to defects. We ideate and prototype constantly between the pattern of a dress to the pattern of the pleats, so the fabrics move around the body seamlessly.&rdquo;
On that note, educator and designer Winnie Wong, the woman behind lifestyle brand Everyday, believes that the very union of practices is what sets Singapore&rsquo;s style scene apart. &ldquo;I think Singapore is unique in that it's almost like a hub for a mix of eastern communities, so it pushes talents to pull from different cultures when coming up with designs&hellip;it's important to support Asian designers to create cross-cultural discussions and showcase eastern design influences so we can see them represented.&rdquo;

Asian representation meets mindful practices and masterful design at GINLEE Studio. Here, L&rsquo;Officiel Philippines chats with the three ladies as they weave their favorite pieces from the brand into their own personal style.
<h5>Describe your personal style.</h5>
Patricia: My personal style is really heavily inspired by Korean and New York street style. It's something that can come off as casual but also unique. Thing is, when it comes to what I see myself wearing in the future, I'd also like to try wearing a diversity of styles. I feel like there's more I can do! That's the exciting thing about fashion, it's always changing and here are no limits to it.
Winnie: I would say my personal style is basic. The goal is to layer everyday pieces and find unlimited possibilities in wearing them, making every piece useful. The ultimate goal is to look effortless.

<h5>Why did you select these particular GINLEE pieces? How are they relevant to your taste, lifestyle, and way of dressing?</h5>
Tricia: Neutral colors are always classic and elegant. I&rsquo;m usually chasing a toddler around so I&rsquo;m usually in loose, breezy pieces that allow me to move. I love the pleats and how easy it is to wear the pieces. There are no complicated steps &mdash; I can wear them in the dark!
Winnie: I tend to look for styles that I feel could work with my body type. Finding pieces that could help bring out more form would be nice, to lend shape to my log-like body. [laughs]
Patricia: When it comes to shopping, I always get pieces that catch my attention and that's exactly what these did. I also like pieces that can be worn multiple times but can look different when styled with different things.

<h5>Do talk about how you styled the pieces. How did you incorporate GINLEE Studio into your personal style?</h5>
Winnie: I like being able to find workable pieces that I can incorporate into my existing wardrobe. I think that finding items that aren't just for one-time wear is the best, sustainability-wise. The GINLEE pieces have nice, loose-yet-structured silhouettes, so I would be able to pair them with something more form-fitting to create body.
Tricia: I rarely have time to think about what to wear nowadays since I&rsquo;m busy juggling work, home, and childcare, so one-piece items are lifesavers. I paired the dress with minimal accessories and just a classic pair of strappy heels for some understated elegance.
