In an unexpected turn of events, Louis Vuitton has crowned Pharrell as the new creative director for men's collections.

Last night was a jaw-dropping moment for all as Louis Vuitton named Pharrell as the brand's new men's creative director, succeeding the late Virgil Abloh.
Pharrell will mark a new era as the first permanent head of the Louis Vuitton menswear division since Virgil Abloh's passing in 2021. Prior to this, the Maison has continued presenting collections by the remaining design team, along with one single collection by KidSuper founder Colm Dillane.

Set to launch his debut collection for Louis Vuitton in June 2023 during Men's Fashion Week, Pharrell's appointment is the first big move made by the new Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton, Pietro Beccari, who has recently shifted from Dior.
Pietro Beccari says, "I am glad to welcome Pharrell back home, after our collaborations in 2004 and 2008 for Louis Vuitton, as our new Men&rsquo;s Creative Director. His creative vision beyond fashion will undoubtedly lead Louis Vuitton towards a new and very exciting chapter."
For Pharrell, this is not his first experience as a designer. Outside of his many past designer collaborations including one with Tiffany &amp; Co., he has also worked with designer Nigo (the creative director of Kenzo) to launch two labels - Billionaire Boys Club and ICE CREAM.
With a flair for the dramatic and streetwear, Pharrell is set to bring a new narrative to the Louis Vuitton men's collections.
