Marking 160 years since Tiffany &amp; Co.’s first chronograph in 1866, the House introduces two limited-edition Tiffany Timer watches.

Earlier this year, Tiffany &amp; Co. introduced the first chronograph edition, limited to 60 pieces, featuring a platinum case, a Tiffany Blue® dial, and an exclusively customized chronograph movement. Now, the House is introducing a second edition, limited to 100 pieces and officially available from September 2026, combining titanium and platinum with a deep blue dial accented by Tiffany Blue®. Together, the two timepieces celebrate Tiffany &amp; Co.’s longstanding watchmaking heritage while expressing the House’s distinctive vision of the art of timekeeping through design, craftsmanship, and innovation.
The new Tiffany Timer combines a satin-brushed titanium case with a platinum bezel and is powered by an exclusively customized El Primero 400 chronograph movement featuring the legendary Bird on a Rock motif. The watch brings together the House’s renowned heritage in jewelry and design with its rich history of Swiss watchmaking.

When Tiffany &amp; Co. began selling watches in 1847, Charles Lewis Tiffany quickly recognized the growing demand for finely crafted timepieces with a high degree of precision. In 1866, the House introduced the Tiffany &amp; Co. Timing Watch, today recognized as Tiffany’s first chronograph. Two years later, the design was renamed the Tiffany &amp; Co. Timer, coinciding with Tiffany &amp; Co.’s opening of a watch assembly workshop in Switzerland. In 1874, the House went on to open a watchmaking workshop in Geneva specializing in complicated timepieces, including chronographs and calendar watches.
The Tiffany Timer’s 40 mm satin-brushed titanium case forms an elegant composition of fluid curves and rounded surfaces. The chronograph pushers curve along the contours of the case while also serving as guards for the crown. The two-material construction is completed by a deep blue sunray-brushed dial, accented with Tiffany Blue® on the subdial markers, the outer chronograph seconds scale, and the date display, subtly recalling the iconic color palette of Tiffany Blue Book collections through the years.

Turning the watch over, the sapphire crystal caseback reveals an unexpected detail that fully expresses Tiffany &amp; Co.’s playful and spontaneous spirit: the bird from the House’s iconic Bird on a Rock brooch, perched on the skeletonized winding rotor.
Faithfully recreating every detail of Jean Schlumberger’s original design, the 1.4 cm-wide bird is hand-sculpted from a single solid block of 18K yellow gold. It is then polished entirely by hand using a range of traditional tools, including diamond abrasives and gentian wood sticks, creating varying degrees of shine to emphasize its contours before being placed on the oscillating rotor. The caseback is engraved with the words “Limited edition of 100.”

Five decades ago, the El Primero represented a major technical breakthrough and remains one of the world’s most renowned chronograph movements today. Although automatic movements had existed for nearly two centuries, the technology had never been successfully applied to a chronograph until Zenith introduced the El Primero—the world’s first integrated automatic chronograph—in January 1969. The name El Primero means “the first.”
The three-subdial layout is a signature of the Zenith El Primero movement, providing balance and intuitive legibility. Chronograph seconds are displayed on the outer ring of the dial, chronograph minutes at 3 o’clock, chronograph hours at 6 o’clock, and running seconds at 9 o’clock. One of watchmaking’s most useful complications, the date, is displayed in a window at 6 o’clock.
Tiffany &amp; Co. will introduce the Tiffany Timer Titanium Platinum in a limited edition of 100 pieces.
