Prada doesn&rsquo;t do escapism when the world feels messy. For Men&rsquo;s Fall/Winter 2026, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons leaned into the discomfort instead, putting forward a question: what can you build from what already exists? The collection, titled Before and Next, uses memory and knowledge together with craft to stay moving forward without faking certainty.
Backstage, Miuccia Prada framed the mood with directness. She admitted it&rsquo;s a strange time to work in fashion, caught between paying attention to the world and obsessing over &ldquo;small things.&rdquo; But for her, the job remains the same. That tension sits inside the clothes, a luxury collection trying to be intellectually honest about the reality it&rsquo;s made in.
Raf Simons described it as using the past as something active, celebrating what you know while still trying to innovate. The silhouettes were long yet precise, but still ultra-fitted in a way that almost looks uncomfortable. The body is back at the center, not in a showy way, but through posture and control. At the same time, the shoulders softened. After seasons of rigid strength and uniform-like sharpness, this felt like Prada choosing a calmer kind of structure.
Coats and suits looked simple from a distance, but up close you could feel the construction. Pieces were built like objects rather than outfits. Collaged prints pulled references from different eras, from antiquity to modern life, stitched together into something that felt like memory remixing itself in real time.
The show setting amplified that in-between feeling. The Deposito at Fondazione Prada was transformed by OMA into a liminal space, complete with doorways, wood paneling, and imagined fireplaces.
Even Prada&rsquo;s sustainability talk stayed blunt. The brand acknowledged the contradiction at the heart of luxury. Truly sustainable fashion would mean producing nothing at all, and there&rsquo;s hypocrisy in pretending otherwise. The Italian fashion house addressed it with real understanding and a focus on quality.
A global mix of music, film, sport, and culture filled the room, including Rauw Alejandro, Jack Harlow, Mahmood, Troye Sivan, Saint Levant, and Karina of aespa, alongside actors like Nicholas Hoult, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Damson Idris, Maya Hawke, Levon Hawke, Louis Partridge, and more.
