Not everyone can move between industries without missing a step, but Onie De Guzman makes it look easy. Whether he&rsquo;s walking for top designers or gearing up for the stage, there&rsquo;s an effortless cool to the way he does things. We caught up with De Guzman to talk about balancing both worlds, trusting his instincts, and why the best moves are the ones that feel right.

How would you describe your personal style right now?
I usually don&rsquo;t come from a place of trends, but I always incorporate my own style&mdash;through colour, texture and comfort&mdash;rather than by simply following what&rsquo;s popular. It&rsquo;s also a mix of decency and cleanliness over loudness.
What are your go-to brands at the moment?
I&rsquo;d say my go-to brands right now are COS, AMI and more&mdash;anything with neutral colours and a minimalist feel.
When you&rsquo;re going for dinner or an event, what do you wear to feel good?
For dinners or events without a specific theme, I&rsquo;d stick to something safe: a black polo with black trousers or a black cardigan with black trousers, paired with loafers and a watch. Simple as that!

How do you balance everything&mdash;fashion, music and more? Does one influence the other?
As a trainee in a boy group, I&rsquo;ve always been fascinated by the connection between music and fashion&mdash;how artistes use style to bring their concepts to life in music videos or set trends through what they wear. It&rsquo;s interesting how these two worlds intersect, and I want to be part of that, influencing not just fashion but music as well.
What are your best memories in this space so far?
After four years as a model, some of my best memories come from working internationally with brands like Louis Vuitton and Uniqlo. When you start out, your agency helps you set a list of goals, and I&rsquo;m grateful to have achieved some of mine. More than anything, I appreciate everyone I&rsquo;ve worked with&mdash;the creatives, the teams behind the scenes and my agency&mdash;for being part of this journey.
Who are your biggest style inspirations?
Usually K-pop idols such as Cha Eun-woo and Byeon Woo-seok. But I'm also a fan of Pharrell Williams.

What&rsquo;s your current routine&mdash;whether it&rsquo;s fitness, skincare or something that keeps you grounded?
My routine right now, aside from constant skincare&mdash;because as a full-time model, I have to take care of my face&mdash;includes fasting. I do intermittent fasting, usually one meal a day, to maintain my physique since I don&rsquo;t work out often. Lately, I&rsquo;ve also been getting into sports, especially pickleball and badminton.
What&rsquo;s your fragrance of choice?
I&rsquo;m pretty playful when it comes to scent&mdash;I switch it up every week depending on my mood. Some days, I go for something woody; other times, I prefer something fruity. Certain scents bring back memories, which can be a serotonin boost. What do you do in your downtime?
On my rest days, I make sure to have some me-time. I don&rsquo;t go out&mdash;I&rsquo;d rather save my energy for upcoming events and plans. I also love playing online games, especially open-world ones.
