Present at the Venice Film Festival, the Ginny &amp; Georgia actor talks about his love of timeless style, the magic of cinema, and what fashion means to him.

For actor <a href="https://www.instagram.com/itsnatemitchell" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nathan Mitchell</a>, who plays Zion in the series Ginny &amp; Georgia, the moment is more than just a public appearance: it&rsquo;s a chance to tell a story &mdash; without dialogue, but with elegance. Dressed in <a href="https://www.lofficiel.com/fashion-week/brunello-cucinelli-collection-homme-printemps-ete-2025-look-photo" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Brunello Cucinelli</a>, he sat down with L&rsquo;Officiel&nbsp;to share his thoughts on fashion, cinema, and the excitement of returning soon to set.

Tonight you&rsquo;re wearing Brunello Cucinelli &mdash; what drew you to this look for Venice&rsquo;s red carpet?
I wanted something that felt both elegant and effortless, and Brunello Cucinelli does that beautifully. There&rsquo;s a quiet sophistication in their tailoring that really spoke to me, especially in a setting like Venice. It struck the perfect balance between formality and comfort for the evening.
How important is fashion to you at public appearances, especially at events like the Venice Film Festival?
Fashion is a way of communicating without words. It&rsquo;s an art form in itself. So in a way, it&rsquo;s an extension of the self-expression I experience through acting. On the red carpet, I get to show a part of myself. At events like Venice, fashion matters because it pays tribute to both the art and the moment &mdash; it becomes part of the storytelling.
Brunello Cucinelli is known for its timeless elegance &mdash; would you say that reflects your own personal style?
Yes, I&rsquo;m drawn to classic, easy-to-wear pieces rather than fleeting trends. I like clean lines, quality materials, and clothes that age well. Timelessness is something I value, both in what I wear and in how I try to present myself.
From superhero suits to red carpet looks &mdash; how do you feel when you slip into such different styles?
I&rsquo;ve been lucky to work with an incredible design team on my superhero costume. And since I&rsquo;ve always been a fan of superheroes, there&rsquo;s a real power, an energy I feel when I put it on. It makes you want to leap into action. Black Noir&rsquo;s costume [his character in The Boys] is all about stealth, armor, and mystery. He&rsquo;s an enigma in many ways, and that aura is what makes the suit so compelling. The red carpet look, on the other hand, offers a striking contrast: it lets you reveal who you already are, showing facets of yourself you might not display day to day. Both are exciting in their own way &mdash; one is about immersion, the other about presence.

Venice is such a cinematic city. What does being here during the festival mean to you, surrounded by film and fashion from around the world?
Venice feels like stepping inside a movie &mdash; the light, the canals, the history. Being here is inspiring; you feel both the weight and the joy of cinema. I especially enjoy the in-between moments, like looking out over the view from the St. Regis and soaking in the atmosphere &mdash; it really sets the mood for celebrating film.
Are there any international directors or films being shown this year that you&rsquo;re particularly looking forward to?
What I&rsquo;m most excited about is discovery. Venice is the perfect place to meet filmmakers and see films I might never have come across otherwise. I&rsquo;m looking forward to some international premieres and to experiencing how different voices tell their stories this year.
If your style were a film genre, what would it be &mdash; and why?
Probably an indie drama with a touch of adventure and a hint of romance. Overall, my style is very grounded, but I like to play with pieces that can surprise. My character Zion and I actually have pretty similar taste. At fittings I often find myself thinking, &ldquo;I&rsquo;d actually wear this,&rdquo; and then I go buy it. We&rsquo;re about to start filming season 4 of Ginny &amp; Georgia, and for a lot of reasons I can&rsquo;t wait to dive back in. Zion&rsquo;s wardrobe is definitely one of them.
