They aren&rsquo;t exactly disappearing, but more men are starting to dress with the body in mind again.

If you&rsquo;ve been paying attention to recent red carpets or fashion weeks, you&rsquo;ve probably noticed it already. A lot of Hollywood actors and K-pop idols have quietly started moving away from oversized fits and extra-wide tailoring in favor of something sharper, closer to the body, and more aware of shape.
That shift has brought back what fashion people are calling Muscle Fit. But this version feels different from the overly aggressive &ldquo;gym bro&rdquo; aesthetic people usually associate with tight clothes. It&rsquo;s less about flexing and more about structure.
So what actually is Muscle Fit?

At its core, Muscle Fit is about tailoring and proportion. Instead of drowning the body in fabric, the clothes are cut to follow the natural shape of the chest, shoulders, and back. The goal isn&rsquo;t to look squeezed into your outfit. It&rsquo;s to create cleaner lines and make the silhouette feel more defined.
That&rsquo;s why the fit matters more than the size itself. The best Muscle Fit looks still have ease to them. They just sit closer to the body in a way that makes the person wearing them feel more present.

So&hellip; is oversized fashion officially over?
Not exactly. But after years of extremely oversized tailoring, giant suits, and ultra-baggy pants dominating menswear, people are starting to want something different.
That doesn&rsquo;t mean fashion is going back to the ultra-skinny &ldquo;Hedi Boy&rdquo; era either. Instead, menswear seems to be landing somewhere in the middle, where clothes still feel relaxed, but not so oversized that the body disappears underneath them.

Demna, who helped popularize oversized silhouettes during his time at Balenciaga, has already started pivoting toward more body-conscious dressing at Gucci. His recent collections reference the sensuality of the Tom Ford era through fitted tops, clingier silhouettes, and even semi-sheer pieces where the male body becomes part of the design itself.

Brands like Dsquared2 and Dolce &amp; Gabbana are leaning into that same direction, while labels like LGN Louis Gabriel Nouchi and GmbH approach it with a moodier, more controlled sensuality.

The celebrity side of fashion is shifting too.
Actors like Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams recently drew attention for wearing subtly fitted tailoring and stretch fabrics at a Vanity Fair party following the success of Heated Rivalry. Meanwhile, names like Kit Connor, Paul Mescal, and Jeremy Allen White continue pushing a more physical, body-aware kind of menswear styling..

K-pop has also started loosening its old rules around masculine styling. For years, the ideal was to look slim in clothes while hiding any visible muscle underneath. Now, idols seem much more comfortable subtly showing the results of training instead of concealing them completely.
Jungkook often leans into fitted pieces with a slightly rebellious edge, while Mingyu and Choi San show how even polished idol styling can feel stronger with sharper, more body-conscious proportions.

Despite the name, you don&rsquo;t actually need a bodybuilder physique to pull off Muscle Fit.
A well-cut Henley already does a lot of the work by naturally emphasizing the shoulders and upper body. A properly tailored T-shirt can have the same effect too, especially when it&rsquo;s fitted through the chest and sleeves without clinging too tightly around the stomach.

That&rsquo;s really the key to the whole thing. Muscle Fit works best when it looks effortless. Small details, slightly rolled sleeves, thicker fabrics, cleaner proportions, tend to feel much stronger than clothes that look like they&rsquo;re trying too hard to prove something.
