For the first-ever Next On Netflix Philippines showcase, the platform gathered the country's biggest stars to preview a slate of new series and films, signaling what it calls "bigger, braver moves" in local storytelling. Among the headline pairings was Someone, Someday, the upcoming series starring James Reid and Kathryn Bernardo&mdash;and Reid was suited and booted.
Rather than go a predictable route, Reid wore a black collarless jacket and matching trousers by Veronica, the label of young designer Roni Reni. The look first appeared on the runway at the UP Clothing Technology Graduation Fashion Show in December 2025, giving the event a subtle nod to homegrown design talent.

He pushed it further with sleek black western boots and a silver western belt, dialing up the cowboy vibes. It was a restrained take on frontier style, fitting for a leading man without going full rodeo.
In Someone, Someday, an ABS-CBN series set to stream on Netflix Philippines 72 hours before its television debut, Bernardo plays a woman who creates a dating app to help others find love, while Reid's character Jordan navigates friendship, tension, and second chances.
At the press conference, Reid admitted to feeling nerves returning to teleseryes after seven years, but also shared that he's writing one of the songs for the show and weaving his own music into the series.
