At the 2026 BRIT Awards in Manchester, Harry Styles stepped out in Chanel M&eacute;tiers d&rsquo;Art and debuted his new single &ldquo;Aperture&rdquo; live for the first time.

On February 28 in Manchester, the atmosphere felt charged. For the first time since 2023, Harry Styles returned to the red carpet at the BRIT Awards. At 32, the Grammy-winning artist marked the start of something new.
For the occasion, Styles chose a black-and-white boucl&eacute; suit with fine stripes from Chanel&rsquo;s M&eacute;tiers d&rsquo;Art 2026 collection (look 39), designed by creative director Matthieu Blazy. The structured double-breasted jacket was paired with fluid, oversized trousers. Underneath, a pale mint-green shirt and matching tie softened the graphic sharpness of the stripes.

The most unexpected detail was at his feet: black Chanel ballerinas finished with a bow. It was a subtle but deliberate choice, continuing Styles&rsquo; ongoing exploration of gender-fluid dressing on major red carpets.
If the look drew attention, the performance sealed the moment. On stage at the BRITs, Styles delivered the first live performance of &ldquo;Aperture,&rdquo; the lead single from his forthcoming fourth album, Kiss All the Time. Disco Occasionally., released on January 22. The track, carried by disco-inflected rhythms, arrived alongside a hypnotic music video set in the dim corridors of a Los Angeles hotel.

&ldquo;It&rsquo;s best you know what you don&rsquo;t, aperture lets the light in,&rdquo; he sings, using the photographic term as a metaphor for openness and revelation. The chorus, &ldquo;We belong together, it finally appears it&rsquo;s only love,&rdquo; builds on that idea, leaning into clarity rather than hesitation.
For the performance, Styles removed the jacket, keeping the wide trousers and mint shirt, letting the song breathe. The gesture felt intentional, echoing the message of the lyrics: open up, let the light through, and step forward.
