Between new music, tougher roles, and a soft spot for his Filipino fans, Boss Chaikamon is trusting his instincts through every turn in this next chapter.

Thai actor and musician Boss Chaikamon walks into the L’Officiel Philippines shoot already camera-ready, entourage trailing behind, right on time. His first look: unmistakable Gucci green and red lines down his pants, paired with a top from Antonina, one of the local labels featured at MNL Fashion Week 2026. He has been in the Philippines several times, always for his own fan meetings. Now, he’s a special guest who sat in the front row of a runway. The shift seems to suit him fine.
Just watching him work a set tells you how comfortable he is in front of a lens. He needs almost no direction. He shifts his weight, tilts his chin, finds an angle and it lands. He swaps Gucci for a more local look in one go: a denim jumpsuit and jacket from Proudrace, the Filipino label that teamed up with adidas on a collaboration that made headlines. He wears it as if it has hung in his closet for years, not as if it's something a stylist zipped him into moments before.

Ask him about the past few years and Boss doesn’t reach for a highlight reel. “I really enjoyed working on different projects, especially whenever I get the chance to travel and meet my fans from all over the world,” he says. “Their love and support mean everything to me.” Since breaking out in the series&nbsp;Love in the Air, Boss has been steadily striding through his career. Ask what role he wants to try next, though, and he’s got something different in mind: mystery. “I would love to try playing a character who gets to do an investigation,” he says. “Being in that kind of series would keep everyone tuned in and guessing. Playing someone who searches for clues and solves secrets would be a really fun challenge for me as an actor,” he adds.

His range stretches further than fans might expect. In&nbsp;The Boy Next World, he worked through demanding scenes with a complicated multiverse premise that called for a different kind of focus. Before anything emotionally heavy on set, he needs a few minutes alone. “I usually spend about five to ten minutes by myself so I can study the script, internalize the emotions, and mentally picture how everything should play out,” he says.

Acting was never the only plan. "Ever since I was young, I dreamed of becoming a singer," he says. "I would have been happy just singing casually at a small cafe or restaurant, so releasing my own music is such a dream come true." He pushed that dream even further this year by founding his own independent label, Freeze Drop, and releasing the pop and hip-hop tracks&nbsp;9toFly&nbsp;and&nbsp;Long Dai entirely on his own terms. "What I enjoy most is the vibe of both songs, because I got to combine my two favorite genres," he adds. Building on that momentum, he recently dropped his third single, Too Busy, alongside an accompanying music video. The real reason he sings, though, has less to do with charts than with people. “My biggest inspiration is the hope that my voice can help heal people,” he shares. “Knowing that my songs might comfort someone or brighten their day is what I enjoy most about performing as a singer.”

The same instinct that has guided his career guides his style: no overthinking, just gut feel. “I just like being myself and keeping the mood light and comfortable,” he says. “I’m most confident in street fashion, especially simple shirts and jackets, and layering my clothes.” He almost always wears silver rings, necklaces and bracelets; if he skips them, something feels incomplete. “Fashion has a big influence on me because what I wear is a reflection of who I am,” he adds. “If I want to feel cool, I dress cool. If I want to feel relaxed, I go casual.”

Manila gets something out of him too. He talks about his Filipino fans with a softness that doesn’t sound rehearsed. “They are so friendly, thoughtful, and genuinely nice, but what I appreciate deeply is how much they respect my boundaries,” he says, still thinking about the crowd that welcomed him at the airport this trip. Sisig is a given on every visit (“I eat it as much as I can whenever I’m in the Philippines”), and somewhere out there is an island he can’t name yet but fully intends to find, on a future trip that is finally just a vacation.

Before wrapping up, we asked what he would want his day-one Filipino fans to hear directly from him. He didn’t need time to think it over. “Thank you so much for supporting me from the very beginning until now. Your love and support really give me strength,” he says, a warm smile spreading across his face. “I promise to keep doing my best to improve myself so that every project I share with you makes you happy and proud.” It’s the kind of message that could sound rehearsed coming from someone else. From Boss, on a shoot where he barely needed direction to begin with, it just sounds true.
