The global fashion brand and the renowned designer have created a collection of coveted summer staples and timeless statement pieces.

Victoria Beckham&rsquo;s name is synonymous with immaculate style. Whether you&rsquo;re talking about her eponymous label that exudes the essence of British luxury, or the designer and celebrity herself with her effortlessly elegant personal style. So it was only fitting that MANGO, one of Europe&rsquo;s most global brands, teamed up with Victoria for a sophisticated and chic capsule collection that every woman would undeniably covet. &ldquo;I wanted to create a conscious modern wardrobe which is perfect for the summer months. There is a cheekiness, but it is also very put-together with a sensuality as well,&rdquo; the designer shares.

Inspired by the film La Piscine (1969) starring Jane Birkin, the pieces evoke classic femininity in both sensual free-flowing and dangerously tailored silhouettes. Perfectly cut patterns on blazers, sharp shoulders and waists, paired with extra-long trousers in relaxed flare cuts are the key pieces of the collection and are undeniably Victoria Beckham signatures. Considering the summer heat, the collection also plays with lightweight fabrics such as linen, cotton and silk of the highest quality, and beach-friendly knitwear that exudes &ldquo;an easy summer elegance&rdquo; according to Victoria. Transparency and lingerie-inspired designs also punctuate the capsule as a running theme to balance the more structured looks.

MANGO makes great accessories as well and this doesn't go unnoticed by the British designer. She also believes that a look can transform dramatically with the proper accessories. &ldquo;I love how accessories complete the character. They are not only beautiful pieces, but they also need to really function. As women we need these items, whether a bag or a shoe for example, to get us through from day to night and it&rsquo;s the finishing touch to any look.&rdquo;

When asked about her favorite pieces from the collaboration, Victoria circles back to her own style philosophy. &ldquo;I really love the easy slip dresses and the tailoring in particular. I have always played with both the feminine and masculine and want to offer an effortless women&rsquo;s wardrobe that is versatile and wearable yet rooted in modernity with a sophisticated ease. Something might appear simple but so much thought and execution has gone into how that piece fits or sits on the body, the way it creates a strong silhouette&mdash;It&rsquo;s always about silhouette for me.&rdquo;

Made with the multifaceted woman in mind, the collection also hopes to empower and make the wearer feel like the best versions of themselves. Victoria also talks about the reason behind the collaboration and working with such a brand that she adores. &ldquo;I really wanted to speak to a wider audience in a way that feels relevant to my own brand and retains my aesthetic and DNA, and I am very proud of what we have created together. It feels very modern to bring the two brands together and build on our expertise, and I was very impressed by the Mango teams&rsquo; level of execution, attention to detail and savoir-faire.&rdquo;

&ldquo;It was an exciting challenge to embrace another creative process without compromising on the creative and desirability. I also feel that we have a shared ethos, aesthetic and values around femininity, quality and a real love of product.&rdquo;
The stunning campaign was lensed by David Sims, styled by Emmanuelle Alt, and stars models, Anok Yai and Freya Nutter. The images are meant to evoke a sense of effortless tropical luxury while keeping to the minimalist and timeless aesthetic of the quintessential VB and Mango woman.
This capsule collection also coincides with Mango&rsquo;s 40th anniversary, making the collaboration with Victoria Beckham even more special if not incredibly meaningful.
