From Anne Curtis’ take on timeless denim to outerwear made for travel, UNIQLO’s latest LifeWear collection puts modern city dressing through a distinctly Filipino lens.

Fall/Winter dressing in Manila has never really been about dressing for the cooler temps. Here, getting dressed for the city means preparing for everything else: the extreme heat, sudden downpours, air-conditioned offices, long commutes, and after office/school plans that stretch into midnight hours. It is this particular rhythm of city life that UNIQLO focuses on for their Fall/Winter 2026 collection.
Titled “Modern City Living,” the latest LifeWear collection is designed around the idea that getting dressed should keep up with days that are constantly in motion. The lineup brings together familiar UNIQLO staples with updated silhouettes, textures, and functional details, creating a wardrobe that can move from work to weekends and, importantly, from rain to shine.
At the collection launch, this idea came as a lesson in layering for the realities of city life. Outerwear arrives in varying weights, from easy layering pieces like the Harrington Jacket, Denim Trucker Jacket, and Coverall to warmer fleece options designed to provide insulation without feeling cumbersome.

If there is one takeaway from UNIQLO’s Fall/Winter ’26 offering, it is that versatility remains at the heart of modern dressing. Rather than building a wardrobe around a single forecast, the collection offers pieces that can be added or removed depending on where the day takes you.
The same thinking applies to the season’s bottoms. The Baggy Barrel Leg Jeans bring a relaxed, rounded silhouette, while the EZY Wide Straight Jeans offer the appearance of denim with the comfort of sweatpants. Culottes also return as a versatile, genderless option that can be styled across different wardrobes.
For Manila, lightweight layering becomes particularly relevant. A jacket can serve as protection against an unexpected shower or the aggressive air-conditioning of a mall, while an easy knit or fleece can be packed away until it is needed. The collection’s Fleece line, in particular, comes in an array of colors and styles, with lightweight constructions designed to deliver warmth, making them especially practical for travel to colder destinations.

Emilio Daez, who wore an AIRism Cotton Oversized Crew Neck T-Shirt layered with a Waffle Henley Neck Long Sleeve T-Shirt, Baggy Jeans, and a Fleece Full-Zip Jacket at the event, agrees. “I love the fleece pieces and they're perfect for traveling,” he tells L’Officiel Philippines.

The event also marked the introduction of Anne Curtis as UNIQLO Philippines’ newest local celebrity partner. For the occasion, the actress and multimedia icon demonstrated two different interpretations of the collection, moving between relaxed tailoring, denim, and cozy layers.

Her first look paired a Zip Up Short Jacket with a JW Anderson Boxy Oxford Long Sleeve Shirt, Ribbed Henley Neck Long Sleeve T-Shirt, and Baggy Barrel Leg Jeans. Her second brought together the Fluffy Yarn Fleece Full-Zip Jacket, UNIQLO: C Milano Ribbed Full-Zip Cardigan, and the same barrel-leg denim, proving how a few key pieces can shift the mood of an outfit.
“I love UNIQLO because it's simple and versatile and you can style it in so many different ways,” Curtis says. “I love their jackets and barrel jeans. I think the silhouettes are really timeless.”

It is a fitting introduction to her partnership with the brand. Her own Fall/Winter styling demonstrates what UNIQLO does best: taking wardrobe staples and giving them enough room to be interpreted according to personal style.

Beyond the hero looks, the press preview offered a closer look at some of the categories that make the collection particularly relevant to life in Manila.

AIRism remains a key player, especially for pieces that need to work through warmer conditions. Alexa Ilacad showcased the AIRism Bra Sleeveless Top layered beneath a JW Anderson Oxford Boxy Long Sleeve Shirt and Windproof Stand Blouson, demonstrating how innerwear and outerwear can work together rather than being treated as separate categories.
Other local celebrity partners offered their own interpretations of the collection’s relaxed, adaptable approach. Matteo Guidicelli leaned into easy layering with a casual combination of a T-shirt, relaxed denim, and a lightweight outer layer, showing how UNIQLO’s everyday essentials can be styled for a polished but unfussy city look. Solenn Heussaff brought a more refined take to the collection, pairing clean, structured separates with soft layers for an outfit that felt considered without appearing overly formal.

Anthony Constantino and Kianna Dy, meanwhile, demonstrated how the collection can translate across different personal styles. Anthony’s look centered on practical, understated staples, while Kianna brought a softer, more contemporary sensibility through relaxed proportions and layered textures. Together, their outfits reinforced the idea that the collection is not built around one prescribed way of dressing, but around pieces that can be adjusted to suit the wearer.
Outerwear, meanwhile, comes with plenty of options depending on the need. For lighter days, the Harrington, Denim Trucker, and Coverall offer straightforward layering without unnecessary bulk. For colder trips, fleece provides a warmer alternative while remaining relatively lightweight.

And then there are the pieces that make sense precisely because they do not look overly technical. The collection’s knits, for instance, range from 100% extra fine merino wool Soufflé Yarn Knits to Smooth Cotton Knits, while Loungewear and Innerwear are designed to work both at home and outside.

The preview also looked beyond the immediate season. Fall/Winter 2026 marks the 10th anniversary of UNIQLO U, while UNIQLO: C is set to introduce its Fall/Winter collection. Fans of Core T and UT can also expect new designs spanning Japanese-inspired motifs, pop culture, and art, including collaborations and graphics inspired by Manga 100th, YOASOBI, Pokémon, Ukiyo-e, Peanuts, and NY POP ART.
The season also brings UNIQLO’s ongoing community initiatives into focus. In the Philippines, the brand is spotlighting the first local implementation of its PEACE FOR ALL initiative, in partnership with Plan International Pilipinas, supporting underserved Filipino youth through skills development, employability, and entrepreneurship opportunities.
Ultimately, UNIQLO’s Fall/Winter ’26 collection is more about understanding how people actually dress today – for real life and not online clicks. In Manila, that means clothes that can withstand the heat, adapt to the rain, survive a packed schedule, and still look put-together at the end of the day
