Louis Vuitton transformed the iconic Jamsugyo Bridge in Seoul for its Pre-Fall 2023 Show. The collection is solely inspired by movement.&nbsp;

Out in the heavy winds over the Han river and averse to the darkened city skyline of Seoul, falls the cavernous double-decker Jumsugyo bridge, separating the districts of Yongsan-gu and Seocho-gu. In the lower level of the bridge, the roads were closed, but traffic enforcers led uniformed cars to a secret entrance staged as a construction site. Where vehicle noises ominously rumble overhead, it is certainly not the usual place where people imagine a glamorous fashion show would take place.&nbsp;
But that&rsquo;s where the Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2023 show happened, with rows of green acrylic benches of varied heights arrayed along the asphalt road, and lit-up fountains of water poured on each side as the models walked the runway, Nicolas Ghesqui&egrave;re didn&rsquo;t hold back in opting for an unimaginable setting. The show was even more of an imaginative affair as Ghesqui&egrave;re tapped Squid Game director Hwang Dong-Hyuk as creative advisor who transfigured the moment in a new gambit of light and watery illusion.

Following Ghesqui&egrave;re's use of street elements from his last collection, the heart of the Pre-fall 2023 collection was movement. The signature Ghesqui&egrave;re elements all made their appearances including the sophisticated detailing on leather pieces, lug sole boots, puffer jackets, hardware buckles, redefined structured blazers and skirts, and pieces with geometric patterns. However, as grand as the event is and in contrast to the usual structured silhouettes, this collection offers some lightness and ease, which resonates the incessant movement over the Jamsugyo Bridge, a living work of architecture that exists in harmony with the river&rsquo;s whims.
