The eponymous series of G-SHOCK launched exclusively at the L&rsquo;Atelier by Lucerne.

The G-SHOCK MR-G series is one of the Japanese brand&rsquo;s pinnacle designs. The origins of the MR-G can be found after Casio&rsquo;s head of watch design Engineer Kikuo Ibe created G-SHOCK in 1981. The goal of the watch was to bring durability and reliability into one timepiece by making it shock-proof&ndash;perfect for everyday activities.

Since G-SHOCK made waves with the launch of their watch, they decided to remake the design to cater to a more professional market with a more diverse set of tastes and needs. The G-SHOCK MR-G series was born with Japanese craftsmanship and intention to back its technology up. The series was made in full-metal construction, making it strong and long-lasting, while also having the beautiful and timeless appeal of the G-SHOCK brand.&nbsp;

Black Diamond-Like Carbon coating pays homage to the G-SHOCK brand color that was showcased in the first model. The color gives the watch a sharp finish, while the bezel and dial used two Japanese hues: Kachi-iro, which is a navy blue seen as the &ldquo;victory color&rdquo; for samurai warriors, and Akazonae, which traces back to the crimson seen on samurai armor.&nbsp;

The G-SHOCK MR-G Series was launched exclusively at the L&rsquo;Atelier by Lucerne in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

The event saw the appearance of the Father of G-Shock himself Mr. Kikuo Ibe who spoke more on the titular watch series.
