Roseberry's drama, it seems, will force the audience's gaze, critters aside, onto the rest of the collection. Despite the golden shades, the moments of surrealist opulence are smaller (in a way) and are relieved by the hourglass silhouette that Daniel loves so much and that comes from the Shocking perfume, launched by Schiaparelli in the 1930s &mdash; offset by extremely angular shoulders and exaggerated proportions, including boyish tailoring. The pomp comes from the pearl, mother-of-pearl, inlaid, and lacquered embroidery; the animals, however, are another story.
