RODO, the Italian accessories label known for its handcrafted wicker bags and sculptural footwear, has officially launched in the Philippines. A longtime presence on international red carpets, the brand brings its Spring/Summer 2025 collection to Manila, marking its debut with a focus on craft, heritage, and design innovation.
The collection, titled &ldquo;The Art of Weaving,&rdquo; revisits RODO&rsquo;s iconic wicker techniques with updated silhouettes and materials. Natural leather meets sand-colored linen, while sky blue and strawberry hues add a light, seasonal contrast. At the center of it all: the Paris bag, reintroduced in both small and large versions, alongside new shoulder and travel-ready shopping bags.

Founded in 1956 in the Italian Marche region, RODO has quietly built a reputation for craftsmanship that bridges tradition and modernity. The brand has become a reliable choice for stylists and celebrities, with its pieces regularly spotted at major film festivals and awards shows. With its Philippine launch, RODO offers local customers direct access to its distinct blend of elegance and artisan detailing.
In keeping with a shift toward more sustainable practices, the Spring/Summer 2025 line features plant-based dyes sourced from flowers, leaves, and medicinal roots. These natural tones &mdash; coral, mimosa, khaki, and blue &mdash; are applied to wicker, lending the pieces a grounded, organic feel.
Footwear, another cornerstone of the brand, plays with texture and form. Slingbacks and sandals are finished with crystal-studded mesh, strass embellishments, and wicker-worked heels in both block and cone shapes. Decorative elements like braided crystal bows and geometric studs give the shoes and bags a contemporary edge while retaining a sense of timelessness.

Italian heritage brand RODO unveiled its SS25 pop-up at Rustan’s Makati with an intimate afternoon of refined luxury. Guests were serenaded by live harp music as they watched artisans personalize their RODO pieces with delicate Swarovski embellishments.
