Today, this appeal was answered, with The Business of Fashion announcing that after a three-year hiatus from fashion, Philo will be back. LVMH has reportedly acquired a minority stake in the new brand's stake, leaving space and freedom of decision for the British designer. Since she left C&eacute;line in 2017, the fashion world has been eagerly awaiting her return, so much so that she has dedicated an account to her on Instagram, which is very popular with fans and professionals: <a href="https://www.instagram.com/oldceline/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">@oldceline</a>
"Being in my studio and getting back to drawing once again was exciting and incredibly fulfilling," Philo said in a shared statement with BoF. "I can't wait to get back in touch with my audience and the people who have followed me. To be independent, to govern and experiment on my own terms is extremely meaningful to me."
There were speculations that she would take over <a href="https://www.lofficielitalia.com/moda/virginie-viard-chanel-successore-karl-lagerfeld" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Chanel</a> or inherit the role of Creative Director of the late <a href="https://www.lofficielitalia.com/moda/pieter-mulier-nuovo-direttore-creativo-alaia" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Azzedine Ala&iuml;a</a>. The news, however, seems much more suited to Philo's DNA as a designer trendsetter.
&ldquo;I have had a very constructive and creative working relationship with LVMH for many years. So, it's a natural progression for us to reconnect with this new project, "he added, with LVMH President and CEO Bernard Arnault describing Philo as "one of the most talented designers of our time," noting, "I am very happy to collaborate with Phoebe in her entrepreneurial adventure and wish her great success."
