After a three-year hiatus, Mugler has returned back to the fashion calendar.&nbsp;

It's been three years since <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/how-thierry-mugler-empowered-women-through-his-outlandish-designs">Mugler</a> presented a collection during <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/fashion-week-dates-2023">fashion week</a>, easily marking this show as one of the most highly anticipated of the season. Already differentiating itself from other ready-to-wear collections that are set to be presented in the coming weeks, the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/how-to-get-french-girl-hair-guide">French</a> fashion house decided to have its runway show during Paris <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/beauty-trends-spring-summer-2023-haute-couture-runways">Haute Couture</a> Fashion Week. The show took place Thursday at Paris&rsquo; cultural complex, La Villette. This is the first in-person runway show Mugler's Creative Director, Casey Cadwallader, exhibited since February 2020, prior to the COVID-19 lockdown.&nbsp;
After the death of Mugler founder, <a href="https://www.lofficiel.at/en/fashion/manfred-thierry-mugler-a-visionary-and-avant-gardist-fashion-designer-death">Thierry Mugler</a>, last year, the Brooklyn Museum in New York City dedicated an exhibition in his honor, Thierry Mugler: Couturissime, which highlighted his importance and presence throughout <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/20th-century-fashion-house-to-relaunch-in-paris-fashion-week">20th-century</a> fashion. Known for his architectural, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/avant-garde-haute-couture-dior-chanel-fendi">avant-garde</a> designs, Mugler's place in the fashion realm is dearly missed. But <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/casey-cadwallader-mugler-creative-director">Casey Cadwallader</a>, who was appointed as Mugler's Creative Director in 2017, has continued to prove himself as a force to be reckoned with.&nbsp;
<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/how-to-wear-leather-trend-fall-2021">Leather</a> detailing, architectural shapes, and black <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/lace-fashion-history-symbol-lingerie-chanel-fendi">lace</a> trimming make up a large part of Cadwallader's Fall/Winter 2023 collection. The show's over-the-top sleeves and pant legs contrast the form-fitting waists. The juxtaposition between the simplicity of color (black being the primary color throughout the collection) and exaggerated, futuristic <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/spring-summer-2022-runway-fashion-trends">silhouettes</a> proves Cadwallader's persistence as a successful designer whilst keeping Thierry Mugler's vision alive. The show combined both traditional runway walking and a <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/art/young-artists-interpreting-digital-art-metaverse-technology">technological</a> aspect that featured models on a moving stand with a camera: this allowed for more artistry and variation in their performances.&nbsp;&nbsp;
