These strong, simple silhouettes are a modern nod to the brand's past offerings.

Following its recent streamlined, sophisticated clothing collection, Librea finds itself longing for the future. The brand revisits its roots via its latest release: a leather goods line.

"Our goal for this was to simplify past silhouettes and create from them an idea of a future, based on a past that we miss," brand founder JV Librea said. The drop takes cues from Librea's popular Robo bag, a customer favorite released in 2019. "[It's] a new line of leather goods stripped of depth, that truly embraces the proportions of a two-dimensional shape that can be layered and mixed and matched."

The bags represent shapes made wearable, and the idea that a plane can exist in a multi-dimensional world as part of one's wardrobe. In keeping with Librea's signature mastery of structure, notable styles from the drop include the Pocket, a utilitarian fanny pack; the Rectangle and the Square, meant to be worn individually or layered together; and a revamp of the bestselling Mini Bucket.

An interesting departure from Librea's usual forms comes through the soft, pliant Dough bag. "Veering away from our more structured designs, we decided to embrace the idea of ease in terms of shape and use. With this, we moved with the intention of creating a more malleable Bucket bag. Playing with the silhouette of this most classic shape of ours, we scaled it up and down, added the detachable handle of our Robo bag as a closure, paired it with the softest, [plushest] grained calfskin, and lined it with a durable canvas to keep it sturdy yet still lightweight. [That's how] the Dough bag was born."
