Off-White and creative director Ib Kamara have mutually decided to end their partnership, bringing a close to Kamara's more than four years with the brand and his role as the creative successor to late founder Virgil Abloh. Kamara joined Off-White as a stylist in 2019, became art and image director in 2022, and was appointed creative director in 2024.
Kamara expressed his gratitude for the teams he worked with, the collections produced, the runway shows created, and the inspiration drawn from the brand. He also shared that he leaves the label proud of what he and the team built, and is excited for the fashion house's next chapter.

Born in Sierra Leone and partly raised in Gambia before moving to London at age 16, Kamara built his early career in styling and fashion editing. In 2021, he was awarded the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator at The Fashion Awards, organized by the British Fashion Council.
Kamara presented his debut show as creative director of Off-White in New York in September 2024. The show was held at a riverside basketball court in Brooklyn Bridge Park, featuring a star-studded front row. During his leadership at Off-White, Kamara continued to explore the intersection of fashion, music, culture, and community. For the Spring/Summer 2026 show in New York in September 2025, the designer invited four local graffiti artists to create a piece inspired by the city's five boroughs, blending references to music and street culture.
Alongside his work at Off-White, Kamara has remained active in image and creative direction. The designer has collaborated with numerous international fashion publications and served as a stylist for various designers and artists. In 2025, Kamara launched his creative agency, Raw Materials by Ib Kamara. Now, his journey at Off-White officially comes to an end. The brand stated that it looks forward to continuing to collaborate with him in the future, while Kamara departs with pride in what was achieved during his time leading the label.
