See them breathe new life into tiger conservation with their latest capsule collection.

Many remember KENZO for their bold, spirited, and iconic <a href="https://www.kenzo.com/eu/en/the-tiger" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Tiger</a> emblazoned across many of KENZO&rsquo;s coveted sweatshirts and pieces, as well as their &ldquo;Jungle Jap'' spirit all the way back from their Paris boutique beginnings in Galleries Vivienne during the 1970s. The house continues to nurture and conceptualize. They&rsquo;ve defined it as &ldquo;the mix of prints, the harmony of refined colors and an exuberant and sophisticated creativity imbued with optimism and impertinence.&rdquo;

In support of tiger conservation, they launched their third capsule collection in collaboration with WWF. Polychromatic tiger-inspired prints grace the line instead &mdash; an homage to the brand&rsquo;s inspiration and striking graphic tiger design &mdash; and prowling alongside, we find other feline species making their mark in the collection.

This capsule collection is a simplistic modern take with bi-colored animal prints of tigers, lions, and other fellow felines hidden in the mix, as well as graphic lettering, making a subtle nod to the brand&rsquo;s iconic logo the Tiger. The house believes it to have the founding principles of the maison: &ldquo;powerful energy, nature as a major inspiration, and the dynamic &ldquo;Jungle Jap&rdquo; spirit.&rdquo; The collection keeps animal print-on print tamed enough for you to integrate each piece into your everyday looks.

Unfortunately, since the earlier days of the 20th century (like poaching, rapid habitat loss and fragmentation, etc.), the tiger figure as we know it is endangered. In 2010, an estimated 3,200 wild tigers were left, with the global population fallen by over 95%. That&rsquo;s tens of thousands of tigers lost.

As such, KENZO aims to protect those extraordinary felines, which are a significant part of the foundation of healthy ecosystems and the welfare of communities and other wildlife in the regions they live. It enables us to protect the tigers and preserve vast landscapes, many of which are the homes of many other threatened species. The fashion house will continue to work with WWF to double the number of tigers in the wilderness until 2022 (the Year of the Tiger in the lunar calendar, by the way). This objective, called TX2, is one of the highest conservation objectives ever set for one individual species.

The fashion house&rsquo;s goal in tiger conservation will not only operate on the surface through their designs and mission but as well as their fabrics. KENZO has also made an effort to compose the essentials from 100% organic cotton certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), a worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres.

KENZO will donate US$10 (P500 estimated) towards the TX2 target for each piece sold. Their WWF collaboration will continue until the end of 2022, wherein they hope to double the number of tigers from how many there were in 2010. This partnership will take place until the end of 2022, the ambitious schedule set by TX2 to double wild tigers from 2010 levels. This collaboration not only works to ensure the conservation of tigers but also extends the relationship to strengthen the supply chain of more sustainable cotton and freshwater footprint.
