The exhibition moves through its past and present as one continuous story.

For Fuorisalone 2026, Gucci introduces Gucci Memoria, an immersive exhibition conceived by Demna as a way of moving through the house&rsquo;s history. It&rsquo;s not framed as a retrospective. The idea is more fluid, a narrative that brings together over a century of identity, change, and creative direction.
At the center are twelve large-scale tapestries. Produced with techniques rooted in Florence, they translate key moments from Gucci&rsquo;s history into textile form. The story begins with Guccio Gucci and his early years in London, then moves through the opening of the Florentine workshop, the development of the brand&rsquo;s visual language, and its rise to global recognition. Each scene blends historical references with more symbolic elements, shifting between fact and interpretation.

The exhibition also traces the house&rsquo;s creative eras. Pieces like the Bamboo 1947 and Jackie 1961 appear throughout, alongside references to the designers who shaped Gucci over time, from Tom Ford and Frida Giannini to Alessandro Michele and Sabato De Sarno. The narrative ends in a space imagined as Demna&rsquo;s studio, where craftsmanship, experimentation, and collaboration come together.
Around the tapestries, the exhibition expands into other formats. In the main cloister, a botanical installation inspired by the Flora motif introduces a reworked version of nature, built from seasonal plants grown specifically for the project. It adds another layer to the idea of memory, something that keeps evolving rather than staying fixed.
In the smaller cloister, the tone shifts slightly. Custom vending machines serve drinks created by Gucci Giardino, each one tied to a different character, Fashion Icon, Drama Queen, Super Incazzata, Mega Pesantone. It&rsquo;s a more playful way of exploring identity, still connected to the broader narrative.
Beyond the exhibition, parts of the project extend across Milan. Selected boutiques feature bags and accessories with the Flora motif, with models like the Giglio and Jackie 1961 included as part of this wider rollout.
At the end, the flowers used in the installation are repurposed into bouquets and given to visitors. A simple gesture, but one that ties back to the idea behind Gucci Memoria, taking something from the past and giving it a new form in the present.
