Willar Mateo's Salad Day releases a limited bib series together with a sustainable collection that's perfect for the summer.

Designer Willar Mateo does not have a name for his current collection; instead, he playfully hints that since the summer is up, he wants to focus on something with an almost-naked, barely-there energy.&nbsp;
Noticeable in the limited series are prints and patterns joining together to create trousers, cutout blazers, and skirts featuring pastel dinosaurs with checkered camo, and stars. While the bib series features neon squares &ndash; floral embellishments, ruffles, strawberries, and the words Dog and Bitch are thrown in there together with pink gingham and stripes straps.&nbsp;

Using materials from production excess, Willar prefers to sew freestyle, which creates a unique design.&nbsp; He shares, &ldquo;I love doing 1 of 1 type of pieces because it makes a garment special. We live in a world right now where mass production is so common that garments lose the magical experience of being special." Having learned a lot from the pandemic, Willar wishes to continue Salad Day's creative pursuits by collaborating with more independent artists. He says, " you should adapt to what's happening and never give up your hopes and dreams."
