Caprice Cayetano is the next big thing. On set with the team, she proved to be a natural, posing in front of the camera with an easy rhythm that appears far beyond her years. There&rsquo;s a charm to her that feels incredibly refreshing and it shows not just in how she carries herself, but in how she instinctively understands the space she&rsquo;s stepping into.&nbsp;
Fresh off her win as the Kapuso big winner of Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0, Caprice finally arrives at a well-earned turning point: one that feels completely new but also entirely in her league. At seventeen, with adulthood just right around the corner, she&rsquo;s learning how to balance a rapidly growing career with the steady rhythm of growing into herself.&nbsp;

These days, Caprice moves between work and quality time with her family. Since her win on PBB, her schedule has kept her booked and busy with TV guestings, content shoots, endorsements, and events. But the Sparkle star makes it a point to carve out time for what matters most. &ldquo;I wasn&rsquo;t able to be with my family for four months, so I make sure that I always spend quality time bonding with them.&rdquo; she shares. Trips to the mall and conversations over dinner are their pastimes. And when they head out, Caprice&rsquo;s priorities are refreshingly relatable. &ldquo;Food, clothes,&rdquo; she shares, laughing. Her go-to orders are Thai food like tom yum and pad thai, as well as milk tea. They&rsquo;re all pretty simple, but after spending months away inside the PBB house, they have become her favorite way of slowing down.&nbsp;
What some may not know is that Caprice is no stranger in the industry. Long before her reality show win and before the spotlight fully shone her way, Caprice had already begun carving her path in show business, showing off her acting prowess with her portrayal of the young Criselda in the 2017 drama series &ldquo;Kambal Karibal&rdquo; and other projects including the 2018 series &ldquo;Hindi Ko Kayang Iwan Ka&rdquo; and 2019 series &ldquo;Prima Donnas&rdquo;, just to name a few. At such a young age, she has already built quite a roster of acting gigs, revealing a clear early glimpse of her natural star quality.
Caprice started acting at just five years old, a time when scripts weren&rsquo;t something she could read entirely on her own. Instead, her grandfather would read them to her over and over until she could memorize each line perfectly. It was a process built on patience and discipline, especially for such a young age, and it was one that shaped her early understanding of performing. Today, her acting comes from what she has learned over the years. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s much easier for me to act,&rdquo; she explains. &ldquo;Mas marami na po akong na-experience. Mas marami din po akong paghuhugutan ng emotions.&rdquo; Where she once relied on repetition, she now draws from her experiences, giving her performances so much more depth.
What&rsquo;s also worth noting is how steady, if not much stronger, her relationship with acting has remained. For many child stars, the pressure of growing up in the spotlight can lead to burnout or the urge to step away from it. For Caprice, it&rsquo;s the total opposite. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s my passion na din po talaga,&rdquo; she shares. &ldquo;I really love acting. Hindi po siya work for me. It&rsquo;s like a playground.&rdquo; she points out, which definitely tells so strongly about how instinctively she has always been drawn to the craft.&nbsp;

Her recent win on Pinoy Big Brother became a huge turning point not just for her career, but for how she sees the world around her. Inside the house, she found herself building genuine relationships. &ldquo;My family has grown bigger. I also treat my co-housemates as my family, as well as the fans who support all of us.&rdquo; she shares, even noting how the hardest moments weren't necessarily the challenges inside the house, but rather whenever a fellow housemate left.&nbsp;
Winning, however, was something she never anticipated. Going into the show with no expectations, Caprice simply focused on enjoying her whole PBB experience. So when her name was called alongside Kapamilya big winner Lella Ford, her reaction was pure shock. &ldquo;Super surprised,&rdquo; she recalls. &ldquo;Wala po kasi talaga akong any expectations going inside Kuya's house. So I really enjoyed my whole journey there.&rdquo; More than the big winner title, what she carried with her after leaving the house was a newfound appreciation for the little things. &ldquo;I learned to appreciate the small things more. Things that might seem small in the outside world, I came to value more deeply inside the house, like the food, the time, my family, and the friendships I&rsquo;ve built.&rdquo; she shares.&nbsp;
In the same way, adjusting to life after PBB has been, in her own words, unexpected. Getting recognized in public and hearing people call her &ldquo;Cap&rdquo; or &ldquo;Cap Cap,&rdquo; still catches her off guard. But rather than feeling overwhelmed, she approaches it with gratitude, sharing how she deeply appreciates the people who have been there for her journey inside the house. For Caprice, it&rsquo;s less about the spotlight and more about the connection she has with people who see and support her.

As she eases back into life beyond the reality show, she begins to look ahead. Caprice is clear about the kind of artist she wants to become. She&rsquo;s deeply interested in emotionally charged storytelling, naming films like &ldquo;Miracle in Cell No. 7&rdquo; and &ldquo;Magnifico&rdquo; as her dream roles and expressing a desire to take on similarly heavy drama narratives. It&rsquo;s also an interest shaped by what she loves to watch, from movies like &ldquo;Forrest Gump&rdquo; to the Korean drama &ldquo;When Life Gives You Tangerines&rdquo;, revealing her aspiration to one day bring that same depth to her own work. &ldquo;I came to appreciate those shows and movies because I also aspire to be that kind of actor. To be part of films like those as well.&rdquo; Caprice shares.&nbsp;

She also names Heart Evangelista and Judy Ann Santos as the artists she admires most, expressing a strong hope to one day share the screen with them. Given the chance, she says she&rsquo;d gladly take on any role, whether portraying a younger version of the two or as their sister. &ldquo;Kahit ano po basta involved po sila, I would really love to.&rdquo; she admits. In terms of versatility in roles, Caprice is also eager to explore. While drama is where she feels more at home, she&rsquo;s also open about branching out into other genres. &ldquo;Mga light po na mga shows like comedy. Gusto ko rin po ma-try horror.&rdquo; she says.
Off-camera, the same eagerness to explore also extends to her personal style. She describes it as a mix of clean girl and Y2K. &ldquo;I really love colorful clothes and jewelry. I love bracelets and necklaces.&rdquo; she shares. She gravitates toward playful contrasts, often leaning into vibrant pieces. And when she&rsquo;s dressed in something as simple as an all-black ensemble, she finds ways to express herself through colorful accessories and layered jewelry. For her, it&rsquo;s less about sticking to a fixed aesthetic and more about experimenting with different moods and combinations as they come. At seventeen, Caprice is still in the process of growing and discovering herself, embracing the fun of experimenting and figuring out what feels most like her.&nbsp;

Her approach to beauty, on the other hand, is a lot more grounded. And as someone who quite literally grew up in the spotlight, she&rsquo;s learned to carry an incredibly positive approach to dealing with different perceptions in beauty. &ldquo;I always embrace my insecurities. I always welcome my insecurities and change them into something really beautiful. Na okay lang po magka-pimples or breakouts kasi it's part of your teenage life.&rdquo; For Caprice, it&rsquo;s about patience, acceptance, and growth. If there&rsquo;s one thing she hopes to pass on to girls her age, it&rsquo;s to avoid comparing oneself to others. &ldquo;We have very unique faces naman,&rdquo; she says. &ldquo;May kanya-kanya tayong beauty.&rdquo; In an era where social media often sets rigid beauty standards and amplifies comparison, Caprice&rsquo;s mindset feels like a refreshing reminder that beauty isn&rsquo;t one-size-fits-all.
As she prepares to turn 18, Caprice is stepping into adulthood with a mix of excitement and curiosity. While acting remains her primary focus at present and in the next few years, she&rsquo;s also open to exploring life beyond it in the future. One unexpected dream? Becoming a pastry chef, inspired by her father and award-winning chef Jorge Mendez. She imagines the two of them working side by side in the kitchen, hinting that they&rsquo;d make a great team, each with their own specialty. &ldquo;Si daddy po sa food, ako na pong bahala sa dessert,&rdquo; she says with a laugh.&nbsp;
For now, though, she&rsquo;s exactly where she needs to be&mdash;growing, learning, and embracing things as they come. When asked how she wants to be remembered, she shares her hope of people seeing her as someone who always shares positivity and good vibes. For Caprice, it all comes back to a simple reminder she always repeats: &ldquo;Always look at the bright side.&rdquo;&nbsp;
