Parisian fashion house Balmain collaborates with one of the most well-known names in the toy industry, Barbie, for a limited-edition collection that sees the world through the pink perspective.

Growing up, a young boy named Olivier Rousteing loved playing with Barbie dolls &ndash; to his father&rsquo;s dismay. Styling their hair and redesigning their clothes, with the help of his supportive grandmother, his craftiness and creativity were born during his formative years because of Barbie.

Olivier, who is now the Balmain Creative Director, saw the opportunity to collaborate with one of the most classic and well-established names in the toy industry. And that he did with his prioritization of female empowerment, diversity, and inclusivity &ndash; which are all themes that greatly encapsulate and define what the collection is.&nbsp;

Marini&egrave;re, mesmerizing labyrinth prints, rich couture history&ndash;these are all emblematic of Parisian fashion house Balmain&rsquo;s sartorial vision. Now with a hint of Barbie pink, the two are merging together for a one-of-a-kind, limited-edition collection. The color pink takes on a whole new meaning in the world of atelier, being worn by a cast of men and women basking in the ambiance of the capsule.

From fuchsia to blush, Olivier made it his mission to represent Barbie&rsquo;s signature colors on a diverse group of people. The 70-piece collection broadens the way people view Barbie and Ken, the capsule being 100% unisex.
The capsule collection is will be available soon in Balmain&rsquo;s Manila boutique located in Solaire Resort and Casino.
