Atasha Muhlach moves through life with her best foot forward at every turn, gracefully navigating her role in the world with poise, curiosity, and the kind of confidence that is entirely her own.

The call begins with a cheerful, almost singsong &ldquo;Hi!&rdquo;. On the other side of the call is Atasha Muhlach, her voice admirably light and seemingly untouched by exhaustion despite her busy schedule. Her warm energy bounces off the screen, as though I was just catching up with an old friend rather than speaking to one of show business&rsquo; brightest young names.&nbsp;
Life lately, Atasha says, has been very action-packed, with her making a conscious effort to step beyond her comfort zone. &ldquo;I&rsquo;ve been very busy doing a lot of preparation and a lot of work,&rdquo; she says. Despite her days blending into each other, she has also discovered a more mindful way of slowing down. For Atasha, wellness is a necessity. &ldquo;I&rsquo;ve kind of just been focusing on my overall health. I&rsquo;ve been focusing on my nutrition, sleep, and just having those shared moments with friends and family,&rdquo; she shares. The 24-year-old star also hopped on the racket sport craze, sharing that she recently got into padel together with her loved ones.&nbsp;
Between work and play, her routine boils down to her current mantra. &ldquo;Get yourself moving,&rdquo; she says, describing what has become her personal non-negotiable. Simple as it may seem, the statement carries even more weight when she reveals why.

Late last year, Atasha suffered an accident that left her unable to walk for months after breaking three bones in her foot. Recovery, she admits, really altered her perspective. Things that once felt ordinary now carry a deeper sense of importance for Atasha. &ldquo;It opened my eyes to be more grateful for the little things. Just the fact that you&rsquo;re able to walk to go outside, to be able to do life, is just a really, really big blessing. And since being recovered, it was like a personal aim to focus on being more active and present,&rdquo; she reflects.
It&rsquo;s easy to frame this as part of a life lived in the spotlight, but what makes everything possible is discipline, grit, and self-awareness. Though she moves within a world often associated with glamour and attention, Atasha continues to stay anchored in hard work and a strong sense of self. Beyond the routines and reflections, her devotion to performing remains a strong, constant thread.
For Atasha, acting was never an impulsive decision or an inherited inevitability. It was something she recognized pretty early, long before the general public began recognizing her. At ten years old, during a production of The Sound of Music, she understood that performing was where she felt most alive. &ldquo;That&rsquo;s when I kind of knew that I wanted to be a performer, a creative artist,&rdquo; she expresses. &ldquo;To do it with this whole crew of kids, a whole production team, that sense of teamwork and family is a different feeling. It was a very big blessing because that&rsquo;s what opened the door for me to realize, &lsquo;Hey, this is really what I want to do.&rsquo;&rdquo;

&ldquo;Performing is really such an out-of-this-world experience,&rdquo; she admits. &ldquo;I want to perform. I want to make people laugh. I want to make people go through these emotions.&rdquo;

The memory still glows in her voice. Growing up, creativity was instinctive to her. School productions, art clubs, music, anything expressive&mdash;she would do them all. &ldquo;After finishing my education, which was my promise to my parents and my obligation to them, it was kind of like &lsquo;Okay, now I get to pursue this full-time,&rsquo;&rdquo; she shares. Only after completing her business degree in the UK did she finally allow herself to step into the world she had always dreamed of. &ldquo;Performing is really such an out-of-this-world experience,&rdquo; she admits. &ldquo;I want to perform. I want to make people laugh. I want to make people go through these emotions.&rdquo; That balance between discipline and dream-chasing seems to define much of who Atasha is today.
There is also, of course, the inevitable conversation surrounding legacy. As the daughter of two of the Philippines&rsquo; most beloved stars, high expectations follow her wherever she goes. But Atasha speaks about her parents with surprising normalcy. Growing up, she says, she never really saw them as celebrities. &ldquo;We kind of just saw them as parents,&rdquo; she starts. &ldquo;We never saw them as actors because they really did not ever make us feel that way.&rdquo;
It was only later, once she entered the industry herself, that the scale of their influence fully registered. But rather than intimidation, what lingers most strongly is admiration, not because of their fame, but because of how they managed to remain grounded despite it. &ldquo;If anything, it&rsquo;s more inspiring to be just like them,&rdquo; she says.
Their closeness is palpable. To Atasha, family functions both as a support system and a genuine friendship. &ldquo;We&rsquo;re very close. We&rsquo;re like best friends, parang barkada,&rdquo; she shares. &ldquo;From day one until now, with everything in life, we always go to them for advice.&rdquo; In an industry that often equates success with independence, Atasha&rsquo;s openness about familial tenderness feels refreshing.
Perhaps it is also why she approaches her craft with such emotional sincerity.

&ldquo;Usually, in all projects that I do in this industry, everything really comes from the heart. Because this is something I&rsquo;ve always wanted since I was a little girl.&rdquo; Atasha opens up about her career.&nbsp;
When discussing Bad Genius, her first solo lead role in the Filipino adaptation of the hit Thai thriller, Atasha lights up. The experience, she says, was equal parts exhilarating and demanding. &ldquo;It was a lot of hard work. I had a lot of great experiences, and I&rsquo;m so grateful for the cast, for Director Derick, and the whole production team. We truly became this one big, happy family,&rdquo; she expresses. &ldquo;It was also such a treat and an honor to be able to take the role of Linette Estrella and add that Filipino touch to it.&rdquo;
Preparing for the role, Atasha shares, required extensive workshops, research, and even relearning classical piano for some scenes she insisted on performing herself.
Rather than relying on camera tricks, she immersed herself completely.
&ldquo;It&rsquo;s these things that you would never see yourself doing,&rdquo; she says. &ldquo;And the moment you challenge yourself and push yourself, and it comes to fruition, it&rsquo;s a different feeling.&rdquo;
Preparation, to her, is a sacred ritual. Atasha speaks about acting with the sincerity of someone who deeply respects the responsibility of storytelling. She rereads scripts obsessively, annotates them heavily, and studies emotional objectives before ever stepping onto set. &ldquo;As an artist, I will always make sure that I understand what my character needs,&rdquo; she says. &ldquo;So by the time I get on the set, it&rsquo;s easier to slide into that character.&rdquo;
&ldquo;I never come to the set bare. That&rsquo;s my obligation and my responsibility as an artist,&rdquo; she explains. She knows how to maintain boundaries. Work remains work. Home remains home. She consciously avoids carrying characters into her personal life, crediting her father for helping her navigate certain emotions when on the set.&nbsp;
For Atasha, there is no room for halfheartedness when it comes to her craft. &ldquo;If I accept a project,&rdquo; she says, &ldquo;I know I&rsquo;m going to give my 100 percent. I'm the type of person who will make sacrifices in my personal life just to get the job done.&rdquo;&nbsp;

Still, there remains so much she wants to explore and add to her growing repertoire. Movies are high on her list. Rom-coms especially. There&rsquo;s pure excitement in her voice when she talks about the genre, loving the idea of telling stories that feel joyful and romantic. She also mentions her dream of recreating Dyesebel, drawn equally to the role and the idea of working near the ocean she loves so much.
The beach, water sports, hiking trails&mdash;these are recurring motifs in Muhlach&rsquo;s off-screen life. When she is not working, she gravitates toward movement and connection. Family days and time with friends are her favorites. But the cover star is also one to find peace in solitude. After long days, she likes to retreat inward. Skincare, movies, and just pure rest. She speaks about these routines with the same affection she reserves for acting, suggesting that care itself has become a form of grounding.
Beyond performing, Atasha&rsquo;s creativity spills into quieter mediums, too. Painting, for instance. She loves drawing faces, eyes especially. &ldquo;I love to draw people, especially when they're a little bit older because I like the texture around the eyes,&rdquo; she shares.&nbsp;
It makes sense that she is drawn to portraiture. Atasha herself seems fascinated by the quiet details&mdash;the kind that reveal stories words often cannot&mdash;especially after growing up surrounded by so much art. &ldquo;My parents also love to collect art. So seeing that, it just kind of opened my eyes and made me fall in love with it,&rdquo; she notes.
She also collects cameras obsessively, particularly vintage film cameras, and still carries one she bought years ago from a vintage store&mdash;an Olympus 35mm that she excitedly mentions getting for really cheap. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s like my whole little secret thing. I love to collect memories. I love taking pictures of people. I'm always the one taking photos.&rdquo; Atasha exclaims.

That warmth extends into fashion, too. Atasha describes her style as &ldquo;fun and playful,&rdquo; rooted in silhouettes, shapes, and color, especially. After living in the UK for university, where practicality often meant sweaters, coats, and a lot of layering, coming back home to the Philippines reopened her relationship with fashion entirely.
In the Philippines, she says, there is more freedom. &ldquo;Because it&rsquo;s the tropics, it&rsquo;s the perfect place to play around with color. Whereas if you&rsquo;re in the UK, it&rsquo;s freezing cold.&rdquo; There&rsquo;s freedom for vibrant palettes. For tropical dressing. For experimentation.
Accessories, too, carry meaning for Atasha. For her, jewelry is never simply decorative. She&rsquo;s the type of person who likes to transform memories and milestones into something wearable and something she can see often. &ldquo;I like to wear jewelry on my wrist or my hands,&rdquo; she shares, mentioning how she gravitates toward bracelets, watches, and stacks that slowly accumulate stories over time.&nbsp;
&ldquo;I buy jewelry that all have a sentimental meaning,&rdquo; Atasha notes. One bracelet commemorates her high school graduation. Another marks her first endorsement deal. And a more recent piece reminds her of a birthday spent traveling through Japan with her family.
Among those treasured items is a Cartier Love bracelet gifted by her parents after graduation, her very first piece from the House. &ldquo;My parents know that I'm very active with sports. So even when I'm moving around, that's the one bracelet that won't come off,&rdquo; she muses. Practical enough to survive her active lifestyle yet deeply symbolic, it became the foundation of what she fondly describes as her jewelry stack obsession. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s kind of like you&rsquo;re just collecting these charms in a way,&rdquo; she says. &ldquo;It adds a story.&rdquo; Atasha treats fashion less as a fixed identity and more as an ongoing process of exploring herself. That openness to grow is also what makes her energy so refreshing.

She speaks about her dreams not as carefully curated career blueprints but as genuine aspirations. Acting. Singing. Hosting. Modeling. Perhaps even business someday. For Atasha, nothing is fully closed off. Even through a laptop screen, her energy feels candid and real. She&rsquo;s quietly assured in the way only genuinely passionate people tend to be.&nbsp;
