The Parisian label introduced its latest collection through an intimate showcase hosted by celebrity stylist Lyn Alumno.&nbsp;

Fashion often constructs a world of its own through the stories behind collections, the intention behind each set, and the ideas influencing how each look is presented. Yet while combining these layers can add depth and a sense of fantasy, there are moments when returning to the familiar can feel just as relevant&mdash;even more resonant. It is this ethos that AMI Paris turned to for their Spring-Summer 2026 collection, reimagining Parisian dressing through an instinctive, grounded, and unmistakable lived-in sensibility.&nbsp;
Presented during Paris Fashion Week, the collection unfolded like a candid snapshot of the everyday Parisian wardrobe, with each look moving with ease and familiarity along the historic Place des Victoires. Under the vision of creative director and founder Alexandre Mattiussi, the lineup is defined by soft tailoring and relaxed proportions, with subtle &lsquo;70s inflections seen in the pointed collars, suede fabrics, and flared lines. Nuanced layering also gave way to Mattiusi&rsquo;s signature color language, offsetting neutrals with unexpected pops of green, blue, and yellow.&nbsp;

This same philosophy carried into the Philippine showcase, where the Spring-Summer 2026 collection was introduced in an intimate presentation that emphasized experience over spectacle. Set within the brand&rsquo;s store in Rockwell, the launch offered a closer look at the collection's details &mdash; inviting guests to interact closely with the garments and highlighting their accessibility and wearability.&nbsp; Guiding the showcase was celebrity stylist Lyn Alumno, who offered a grounded interpretation of Mattiussi&rsquo;s vision in a local context. With her distinct approach to styling, she demonstrated how each piece could effortlessly blend into everyday life.&nbsp;
Talking more about the presentation, Alumno shared, &ldquo;The event is all about the Spring-Summer collection of AMI. So, it's more on workwear. A lot of things are rooted in casual chic, effortless elegance Parisian dressing. A lot of neutrals also. But at the same time, while there are neutrals, there are pops of colors because this collection, they're also trying to bring back the joy of dressing up.&rdquo; She continued, &ldquo;So, as you can see with the clothes, there's like matcha green, there's caramel, there's more artisanal pieces, like the buttons of some of the pieces are made of mother of pearl, and then, other iterations of the&nbsp;Ami de C&oelig;ur, which is the iconic logo of the brand.&rdquo;&nbsp;

Beyond the garments themselves, Alumno noted that the event&rsquo;s atmosphere mirrored the brand's core identity. &ldquo;Ami means friend in French &mdash;&nbsp;mon ami: my friends, my family &mdash; which is the core essence of the brand itself. Alexander Mattiussi wanted to design something for his friends and family, and that's why it's called AMI,&rdquo; she explained. &ldquo;It's also a brand that's also close to my heart&mdash;pun intended&mdash;but I'm super happy that it's a very intimate gathering of people that I've known for so long and it just echoes the ethos of the brand so much.&rdquo;
Reflecting this sentiment, the showcase brought together a close-knit guest list of personalities, industry friends, and longtime collaborators, whose presence underscored the brand&rsquo;s enduring spirit of community &mdash; one that celebrates not just style, but lasting connections. Among the guests were Friends of the House&nbsp;Mimiyuuuh, Enchong Dee,&nbsp;and Charlie Fleming. Also in attendance were AMI enthusiast&nbsp;Lharby Policarpio and Alumno's collaborators Christi McGarry, Ida Anduyan, and Ashley Garcia.

When it comes to styling the collection, Alumno emphasized its ease and versatility. &ldquo;While it's very classic, you have different silhouettes that you can try on. So, of course, like French, elegant dressing is classic. You have clean lines, sweaters, boxy fits, easy t-shirts &mdash; pieces that lean towards transitional dressing. You can always mix and match and even build a capsule wardrobe just from them.&rdquo;&nbsp;
From button-downs to tailored trousers and relaxed hoodies, the collection invites layering that moves easily across different settings. &ldquo;I feel like the best thing that you can do with styling is you mix the high and low. For example, if you're wearing something slouchy like a hoodie, you can wear a coat over it if you're traveling. But once you're here in Manila, you can get a very light button-down, with a merino wool sweater that's more weather-appropriate.&rdquo;

At its core, her personal style ultimately extends further than the collection, &ldquo;It sounds so clich&eacute;, but I feel like it all boils down to how you know yourself,&rdquo; Alumno reflected. &ldquo;Nowadays, you have a lot of resources, like color theory and the color wheel. There are a lot of available options, but there's no amount of trend that can replace authenticity.&rdquo;
In the end, the showcase of AMI Paris&rsquo; Spring-Summer 2026 collection in the Philippines becomes a testament to the house&rsquo;s enduring ethos &mdash; that clothing is designed to be lived in, shaped by ease, stripped of excess, and entrenched in familiarity. It is within this gentle return to the everyday that reminds us that true style begins with comfort and endures through individuality.&nbsp;
