High craftsmanship and modern sensibility were the two house values Ferragamo Creative Director Maximilian Davis hoped to capture in his latest to-be It Bag creation, the Hug bag. Showgoers had a first look during the Ferragamo Fall-Winter 2023 presentation in Milan, where they were able to get a glimpse of the bag&rsquo;s functional form&mdash;an elegant addition to a wardrobe of leather essentials.


We dissect the Ferragamo Hug bag into three distinct details:


<h3>1. A distinct two-strap design</h3>


The detail where the Hug bag gets its name from: two straps&mdash;finished with symmetrical Gancini closures&mdash;embrace the front panel like a hug. Intentional yet understated, this design element automatically lends an air of casual elegance to the bag, perfect for toting all day.

<h3>2. Of-the-moment size options</h3>


The Hug bag is presented via two forms: a roomy carry-on tote ideal as a 9 to 5 workhorse or a convenient travel purse, and a hobo bag meant to be donned as a trendy soft pouch worn under the arm.

<h3>3. A myriad of color choices</h3>


While Ferragamo&rsquo;s signature red remains ever-present in this release, the House&rsquo;s current openness to modern hues becomes evident in the wide variety of Hug bag colors and textures: midnight blue, yellow, white and black in brushed calfskin, leather and suede.
