<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/tags/theweeknd" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Weeknd</a>&mdash;born Abel Tesfaye&mdash;made his return to the red carpet Tuesday night in&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/tags/nyc">New York City</a>&nbsp;for the world premiere of&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/hurry-up-tomorrow-the-weeknd-movie-jenna-ortega-barry-keoghan-watch" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hurry Up Tomorrow</a>, his upcoming feature film that already has plenty of hype before the release for its psychological thrilling aspect and its star-studded cast.
The party of a premiere brought out a wave of A-listers, including co-stars&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/jenna-ortega-facts-wednesday-addams-actress" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jenna Ortega</a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/sabrina-carpenter-barry-keoghan-dating-relationship-timeline" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Barry Keoghan</a>, who joined The Weeknd on the carpet in very intentional outfits. Ortega, for example, wore&nbsp;that&nbsp;newspaper dress. You know? The&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/tags/dior">Dior</a>&nbsp;Fall/Winter 2000 newspaper dress famously worn by&nbsp;Sex and The City's Carrie Bradshaw. Also in attendance were director Trey Edward Shults and Reza Fahim, both of whom co-wrote the screenplay alongside&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/men/the-weeknd-abel-fun-facts-name-merch-lyrics-after-hours-plastic-surgery" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Weeknd</a>, which is loosely inspired by Tesfaye&rsquo;s own music and career. The Weeknd and his girlfriend Simi Khadra were also spotted around town the night of the premiere. Musicians like Rauw Alejandro, Metro Boomin, and Lil Baby also joined the festivities.
Plot details have been kept mostly under wraps, but here&rsquo;s what we do know: the film follows a musician tormented by insomnia, whose late-night spiral leads him into a journey with a mysterious stranger&mdash;one that threatens to ruin everything he thought he knew about himself. The result is said to be a mix of psychological drama with The Weeknd's music being the soundtrack behind it.&nbsp;
