In an age where sustainability is and should no longer be optional, three of America&rsquo;s most iconic fashion brands: GAP, Old Navy, and Banana Republic &mdash; are taking tangible steps toward environmental action. Through a meaningful partnership with MAD Travel, a Philippine-based social enterprise focused on reforestation and community development, these brands are turning everyday shopping into a chance to help restore the planet.

Launched across stores nationwide and online, the initiative charges customers a minimal ₱2 fee for every paper bag used. While modest in amount, 100% of the proceeds go directly to MAD Travel&rsquo;s reforestation programs which support tree planting and sustainable livelihoods in communities that need them most.

This collaboration is rooted in more than just reducing single-use packaging. It&rsquo;s about planting roots that last. In 2024 alone, MAD Travel successfully helped rehabilitate 4,000 hectares of land in Zambales by working with Aeta communities in Yangil and Banawen to plant over 62,000 seedlings. With this new initiative, fashion consumers are invited to become part of that impact, one paper bag at a time.
