Filipino performing arts takes the spotlight as CREATEPhilippines and the Manila International Performing Arts Market bring together artists, performers, and industry creatives for three days of shows, conversations, and creative exchange.

From P-pop and pangalay to contemporary circus, Filipino performing arts is taking over the CCP this September as CREATEPhilippines x the Manila International Performing Arts Market (MIPAM) brings artists and industry players together under one roof.
From September 11 to 13, Filipino performing artists, groups, producers, and industry players will gather at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, with events taking place across the Likhang Filipino Exhibition Halls and Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez.
With this year’s theme, “Showcasing Asia to the World,” the event puts Filipino talent in front of an international audience while creating space for new connections and collaborations.
More Than Just a Show
MIPAM first launched in 2019, bringing together local talent and more than 100 international delegates and generating over 200 trade inquiries. Now, it returns with CREATEPhilippines, with a bigger focus on connecting Filipino creatives with opportunities beyond the country.
Alongside live performances, the three-day program includes networking sessions, creative sessions, exhibitions, and pitching opportunities with international producers, festival directors, presenters, and other industry players.
A Hosted Delegate Program will also connect selected creatives with potential touring, co-production, and collaboration opportunities.
So while there’s plenty to watch, MIPAM is also about what happens behind the scenes—artists meeting potential collaborators, pitching new ideas, and finding ways to take their work further.
Meet the Artists
The lineup covers a lot of ground.&nbsp;

Former Ballet Philippines soloist Madge Reyes also joins the program through Fifth Wall, her independent platform for multidisciplinary dance.
For music, there’s Darren Vega’s Music School, which combines music education, mentorship, and performance. DrumStart, founded by musician Ryan Peralta, takes a more communal approach through drum circles, while the young musicians of Dimiao Children’s Rondalla bring Boholano talent to the stage. Also joining them is Banda Kawayan Pilipinas, which has been sharing the music and craft of Filipino bamboo instruments with audiences across Asia, Europe, and North America since 1973.
James Harvey Estrada works across performance and lectures, Leandro Reyes (The Basyang Kid) brings spoken word into jazz and Manila sound through All Purpose Flower.
And for something a little unexpected, The Illvstrado, or Herbert Villanueva, mixes illusion with stories of Filipino nostalgia, folklore, memory, and home.
From traditional dance to experimental performance, CREATEPhilippines x MIPAM offers a look at just how varied Filipino performing arts can be today.
With artists and industry players from here and abroad coming together, the event could also offer a glimpse of where the local scene is headed next.
CREATEPhilippines x MIPAM 2026 runs from September 11 to 13 at the CCP Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez and Likhang Filipino Exhibition Halls in Pasay City.
