The French maison refreshes its signature candles, introduces five new scents, and launches a long-awaited refill program.

A Diptyque candle is often the first thing that comes to mind when the conversation turns to luxury candles. Since the launch of its first scented candle in 1963, two years after opening its historic boutique at 34 Boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris, the French maison has built an entire universe around flame, fragrance, and more. Now, for the first time in more than six decades, Diptyque is giving its Classic Candle collection a thoughtful refresh.
Rather than reinventing one of its most recognizable creations, the brand has chosen to refine things. Working with Franco-Swiss designer Julie Richoz, Diptyque has reworked the candle's glass vessel while preserving the elements that made it iconic in the first place. Yep, the vessel now features a delicate oval-shaped ridge that echoes the label itself. The glass has also been slightly thinned, creating a lighter feel while allowing the candlelight to shine through.

Meanwhile, the label has been sharpened and embossed for a more defined appearance. The maison's famous "dancing letters" haven&rsquo;t changed, though. The redesign arrives alongside an expansion of Diptyque's ever-growing olfactory library.
Five new fragrances join the collection this year, developed with perfumers Alexandra Carlin and Olivia Giacobetti. Caf&eacute; captures the warm aroma of freshly ground coffee beans, while Ortie explores the green, watery freshness of nettle leaves. S&eacute;same Noir leans into the addictive richness of roasted black sesame, Rhubarbe balances tart fruitiness with earthy woods, and Shiso introduces an aromatic blend of green freshness, spice, and delicate almond nuances.

The new scents may be the most noticeable addition, but one of the collection's biggest changes is happening behind the scenes. Tten of Diptyque's most beloved Classic Candle fragrances will be available as refills. The initiative follows more than three years of development and forms part of the maison's broader sustainability efforts.
The launch also introduces a new collection of candle accessories designed to elevate the ritual even further. Crafted in borosilicate glass and biscuit porcelain, the range includes a ribbed candle holder, a pyramid-topped lid and stand, and a series of illustrated matchboxes inspired by Diptyque's archive designs from the 1960s.
