For a while, it looked like Cream Silk was getting into the salon business.
Board-ups carrying the name Cream Silk Pro Salon began appearing in malls, teasing what seemed to be a new salon concept in the works.
Then came sightings of the brand meeting with hairstylists, which only made the possibility feel more convincing.
But what Cream Silk was actually preparing to reveal was not a permanent salon opening.

The board-ups were part of a PR stunt leading up to the reveal of Cream Silk Pro Salon, the brand’s newest product range.
The line features professional-grade structural solutions made with a breakthrough formula containing 30X Kera-Press Actives for salon-level straightening.
Instead of a permanent salon, the reveal shifts the focus to what people usually go to in the first place: the results.

That is where the salon idea starts to shift. It becomes less about the place itself and more about the standard it represents.
That standard no longer has to feel reserved for an appointment.

While those original board-ups may not have been hiding permanent Cream Silk salons, the brand is still taking the salon experience outside the home through an upcoming Salon on Wheels, or roving salon.
The mobile salon is expected to make stops at Vertis North, Bacolod, Davao, Cebu, and Glorietta, bringing the Pro Salon experience to audiences in different parts of the country.
Final dates have yet to be announced, but one thing is clear: the salon may not be settling into a permanent address, but it is still making its way around.
This time, at least, we know what to look out for.
