The Project Vanity community came together for another anniversary event that always has been about all the different qualities that empower women. This year, the theme is Brave &amp; Beautiful&nbsp;

The Project Vanity Community came together 14 years ago as women lived their own stories. Liz Lanuzo, the company's founder, created Project Vanity because she believed that control and confidence would come from beauty. It is until she realized that beauty isn&rsquo;t the only thing that empowers a woman. That is why the anniversary events have been all about the different qualities that make a woman and every woman-identifying person powerful. This year, the theme is Brave &amp; Beautiful.&nbsp;

During the anniversary event last August 27, speakers were lined up to talk about their stories of reinvention, passion, and confidence. Myrza Sison, executive coach and podcast host, shared how she&rsquo;s been reinventing herself for the past years from being a woman in IT to the fashion industry and what she has learned in the process. Lynn Pinugu, founder of Mano Amiga and co-founder and CEO of She Talks Asia, talked about how to cultivate grit, grace, and gratitude as we go through the different stages of our life. Finally, Dr. Rica Cruz, Philippines&rsquo; premier sex therapist and CEO of Unprude, bravely opened conversations about being braver in bed and confident in your sexual self.&nbsp;

Women were conditioned on what is considered beautiful &ndash; limited to what we should be and how short we fall based on our face, body, and appearance to society. After being broken down into stereotypes, who knew bravery could be beautiful? After attending the event, I realized that tales of bravery, such as the stories shared by Myrza, Lynn, and Dr. Rica, are inspiring because women experience life differently. There shouldn&rsquo;t be a &ldquo;standard&rdquo; when we are brave and beautiful in our own way. With this, I could only wonder what&rsquo;s in store for us next year.&nbsp;
