Alongside a campaign directed by C Prinz, Black Opium Pink Glaze introduces a brighter, fruitier take on one of YSL Beauty's most recognizable fragrances.

YSL Beauty is opening a new chapter in the story of Black Opium by naming Alisha Boe the face of its latest creation, Black Opium Pink Glaze. With its new ambassador, the brand celebrates a vision of femininity that is free, magnetic, and unmistakably contemporary, reflecting a generation redefining the codes of celebration and self-expression.
Boe first came to international attention as Jessica Davis in 13 Reasons Why before appearing in The Buccaneers. The Somali-Norwegian actress has established a distinctive presence on screen over the past several years. At 29, she embodies a personality that is both confident and approachable, with an authenticity and charisma that echo the world of Black Opium.
To accompany the launch, YSL Beauty enlisted director C Prinz, one of the creative industry's rising talents, to create a campaign that moves away from the conventions of traditional advertising. Set inside a reimagined vintage diner, the film follows a generation drawn to spontaneous experiences, genuine connections, and a shared sense of energy. Boe leads her group through a vibrant night where the fragrance becomes the catalyst for a new way of celebrating the moment.
The campaign accompanies the launch of Black Opium Pink Glaze, a fruitier, more gourmand interpretation of the line's iconic olfactory signature. Black Opium's signature black coffee accord is paired with natural strawberry extract, adding a juicy, addictive facet. At its heart, luminous sambac jasmine meets the richness of Madagascar Bourbon vanilla, while amber woods extend the fragrance's trail with intensity.
Created by perfumers Nathalie Lorson, Marie Salamagne, Honorine Blanc, and Olivier Cresp, the composition embraces the growing popularity of gourmand fragrances while preserving the bold identity that has defined Black Opium since its launch in 2014. The bottle also evolves with cleaner lines while retaining Yves Saint Laurent's iconic Cassandre logo, reflecting this new facet of the fragrance. Black Opium Pink Glaze joins a collection that reinterprets the signature floral coffee accord through editions including the original Eau de Parfum, Over Red, and Le Parfum.
Beyond the fragrance itself, YSL Beauty also continues its commitment to more responsible production. The jasmine used in the fragrance is inspired by the Ourika Community Gardens in Morocco, where the brand develops sustainable supply chains and supports a women's cooperative in partnership with the NGO Agrisud. It also relies on Scent Trek technology to faithfully reproduce the scent of flowers while they are still in bloom.
